A wedding to remember…
This year, we are offering our DIY (do it yourself ) Brides a special gift! Come and join us EVERY SUNDAY in
APRIL and MAY and we’ll help you design your invitations and have a free make and take available for you to get
inspired for your big day!
You don’t have to be a bride to participate in our make and takes but these will be “wedding inspired!” Some wedding traditions hold true today in 2010, but the changes I mostly see when I work with brides are colors and the style
of an invitation. Brides are getting bolder and like hot pinks and shocking greens and blues. I particularly like the classic colors. Ivory, Tiffany Blue, Cotton Candy Pink, Milk Glass Green and a Deep Red. Many brides are also doing away
with using an inner envelope. It’s not forbidden, but to cut down on cost, it’s sometimes essential. I also see a lot of
postcard replies too. Especially because (drum roll) from now on… the U.S. Postal Service will raise stamp prices every
May to stay with the rate of inflation—yes every May. We’ll have to keep those 2-cent stamps handy! I also see brides
creating their own invites with fancy flourishes and embossing beautiful classic bugs or flowers. Our embossing tools
have never been hotter. I say push the envelope. Make these wedding invitations to match your “personality”… your
“personality on paper”… the greatest reward of handmaking your own wedding invitations is not only the instant gratification it will give you, but bragging rights, telling your guests, “I Handmade These!” And yes… they are gorgeous!

Disclaimer on Classes
All classes at the Paper Garden Boutique are non-refundable, classes
are on a first come, first served basis and must be paid in full. If you
are sick or cannot make the class we will provide you with a class kit,
but you will have to put together the cards or find similar stamps at
home. We cannot refund classes or have you take another similar
class because we put hours putting these class kits together in folders
and it is a hardship on our boutique when you change or cancel a
class. Think of it as a ticket to a one-time event. When taking classes
at the Paper Garden, you never have to bring a class kit, everything
is provided for you. However, if you are taking a class from a guest
designer, you must provide your own craft kits (scissors, pencil, double
stick adhesive).
