Humphries Rotordome 486 APPLE RD AMELIA, OH 45102 FAA Identifier: OH33 Lat/Long: 39-03-24.2260N / 084-12-14.7680W Meetings are going strong! The first PRA Chapter 40 meeting at Humphries was well populated even though the weather was lousy. 39-03.403767N / 084-12.246133W 39.0567294 / -84.2041022 Details inside.... Dues were collected ($15) from those in attendance and lots of hangar chat ensued. Decided at the meeting was to try to schedule meetings for the 3rd Saturday of the month where applicable (May’s meeting will be on the 24th though ). And that about every third meeting should be held near Dayton Ohio to help support the northern living chapter members. It was also decided that a new web page should be setup and hosted since Rick Gilley reported that the old web page could not be editied due to a problem with the ISP. Tim O’Connor will begin work on the new Chapter 40 Web Page in the near future. PRA Chapter 40 Serving Southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana Red (sparrowhawk) Spring Training is Under Way! Doug Gaudette reports that he and Doug Smith are keeping Newark Ohio gyroplane CFI Ed Newbold busy with as many as 2 lessons per week! Ed is taking on students now so if you need lessons, a check ride or want to demo a SparrowHawk gyroplane better call him up and schedule some time! Ed can be reached at [email protected]. PRA Chapter 40 Serving Southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana Airwolf For Sale on eBay! The full size Airwolf replica was made with an existing Bell 222A airframe. The side panels, nose panel and refueling port were all made from the specs from the original Airwolf and are exact. The ADF pod and chainguns are not included in this auction, but will be available if anyone is interested. The interior is not finished, but the pilot and co-pilot seats have been reupholstered and the instrument panel has been mocked up. Airwolf inspired a whole generation to learn to fly helicopters and this replica is beautiful. The mock up was done by Steven Stull out of Atlanta, Ga for a helicopter museum in Tennessee. Unfortunately the museum did not make it and all of the displays were removed and will be sold. This was the center piece and fans of the TV show came from all around to see “The Lady”. It took Steve 5 months of painstaking, meticulous work to bring Airwolf back to life and every detail of the airframe is exact, even down to the rivot pattern. This helicopter would be perfect for any aircraft museum or TV related attraction. There has been talk of a new Airwolf movie, but that is unconfirmed.
