My aim is to provide you the modeller with value for
money kits and components in 1:43 rd , 7mm/O Gauge
without sacrificing quality.
My growing component range of buffers and backheads for
O gauge is available to buy mail order along with many
new individual high quality white metal castings and etched
brass kits.
I will be available to discuss any casting requirements
from one-off runs to batch production work in white metal,
please feel free to contact me with your requirements.
My workshop is open to visitors and to contact me during
the day Monday to Friday from 09:30 till 16:30 except
Tuesday morning when I spend time at the local model

ETCHED BRASS
COACH, BROWN
VEHICLE &
WAGON KITS
As these items are not always in stock please allow
upto 28 days for delivery
A range of etched brass coach kits mainly LMS,
LNWR and BR.
Kits contain etched brass parts with white metal
castings, lost wax brass and come complete with
wheels, buffers and couplings.
Some kits come with extruded aluminum roof or
where appropriate a pre-formed plasti-card roof
(clerestory) which has replaced the wood/brass and
white metal fittings of the original.

4 WHEEL COACHES
LNWR 4 WHEEL FULL BRAKE £65
Introduced circa 1870 as a 26 ft full brake, approximately 110 were built but
from 1872-3 they were given a 6 wheel chassis. The model will build up to give
the original 4 wheel version. These vehicles lasted until the early 1900s when
they were replaced with the larger 30 ft design. As these were used as non
passenger carrying stock it is assumed they would have been in standard
coach livery of that period.
LNWR 4 COMPARTMENT MILK AND FRUIT VAN £65
These vans were four wheelers, on a 16 foot wheelbase chassis. They were 7 ft
9in wide at the waist and approximately 7ft 5in wide at the bottom of the body
side, forming a very slight tumble home and were similar in construction to the
4 wheel parcels van but having large louvered panels in the doors which were
apparently shown in a LNWR drawing No. 1632 dated 19-11-91, showing that at
that time 33 of the 25ft parcel vans had been converted using louvered door
panels to alter them to Milk and Fruit vans.
As information is very scarce the following information relates to the early built
parcels vans which could have been converted to Milk and Fruit vans:
(a) About 18 built in 1869, numbered 48-58 and 60-66. These were
supplemented (2000 addition to numbers) in 1888-9 and withdrawn in 18981901.
(b) 20 built rather spasmodically over 1873-77. These included No.19, and other
numbers were 40-47. All were supplemented in 1890 and withdrawn in the
period 1898-1904.
It is assumed that the livery of these vehicles was similar to coaching stock of
that period, further information can be found in a book “LNWR LIVERIES” by
HRMS.

LNWR 4 WHEEL PARCELS VAN £65
These vans were four wheelers, on a 16 foot wheelbase chassis. They were
7 ft 9in wide at the waist and approximately 7ft 5in wide at the bottom of

GWR SYPHON C DIA 08 / 09 KIT

The short 4 wheeled milk vans called
Siphon “C” were Built in five
separate lots over the years. These
could be found running with freight
vehicles or coupled to passenger
trains as they were equipped with
vacuum brakes.

GWR PYTHON & PYTHON A DIA P19 KIT

The Pythons main purpose was the
conveyance of motor vehicles by
passenger train. Over 20 of these
vans were built. These could be
found running with freight vehicles
or coupled to passenger trains as
they were equipped with vacuum
brakes.

GWR 40 TON BOGIE COAL WAGON KIT

An awesome kit that can produce
the unusual 40 ton bogie coal truck
used to carry coal to the engine
sheds. In model format it is nearly
13” long and comes with sprung
buffers.
The model can be built to Dia N1 / 11
N14 or N15. These bogie coal trucks
lasted well into BR days.

GWR 10 TON COAL WAGON KIT
£35
A kit to produce the
he common 10 ton coal truck. Between 1915 and 1916, three hundred
10 ton all steel loco coal wagons were built to the following lots numbered, 809-813
809
and
824, the running numbers included 9003/14/19/37 and 23001/13/52 etc. They were painted
all over black with white lettering.
The model comes with sprung
ung buffers and 3 link couplings. These coal tru
rucks lasted well
into BR days. Etched Brass

FREIGHT STOCK
PRIVATE OWNERS 7 PLANK WAGON £35
This wagon w a s used by the majority of the
privately owned companies across the whole of the
UK rail net-work. This was a typical wagon to be
found in most goods yards around the country,
and was originally designed to carry most
goods, but was mainly used by the coal industry.
The kit uses a precut and grooved plywood body
with etched brass strapping and an etched brass
compensated chassis with white metal castings.
A small amount of soldering is necessary but
the majority of the build can be glued.
BR SEACOW / SR BALLAST WAGON £75.00
Bogie 40 ton hopper wagons were first introduced by the LSWR in 1903/4, built by G
& R Turner of Nottingham. This led to a number of versions prior to the introduction of
the SR dia 1774 which, along with SR dia 1775, were the forerunner of the later BR
built Walrus, Sealion and Seacow hoppers.
Etched brass kit with white metal fittings and comes complete with sprung buffers and
bogies. Requires paint, transfers and solder/glue to complete.
These wagons can be painted in a vary of liveries from early Southern/BR black, olive
and brown to the more modern liveries of Dutch grey & yellow right upto date
Mainline, Loadhaul or EWS.
