Logging into the Site
1.
Open your browser and go to
www.edperformance.com,
then click Staff Members.
2.
Enter your Site ID, Staff ID, and Password,
then click Login to enter the Performance
Series site.
Support
From the Performance
Series homepage, click
HELP in the far upper
right-hand corner.
The Help system enables you to
search the entire user’s guide for
step-by-step guidance on performing tasks, and provides links to
additional documentation.

Performance Series is a web-based computer-adaptive
test that offers educators an efficient method to
immediately diagnose student needs, inform placement
decisions and predict performance on high stakes tests.
Administering the Assessment
1.
Open your browser and go to
www.edperformance.com.
2.
Click a
content area
to start an
assessment.
3.
Enter your SITE ID.
Viewing a Student Profile
1.
From the Performance Series
homepage, click Site Admin.
2.
In the left-hand menu under
Students, click Search
Students.
3.
Enter the student’s first name, last name,
or student ID and click Search.
4.
A list of students who match the search
criteria appears. Click a student name.
5.
Click
Performance
Testing.
6.
In the left-hand menu, under
Test Scores, select a subject
area.
7.
The profile for
the student’s
most recent test
in that subject
area appears.
From the Performance Series homepage,
click DOCUMENTS in the
far upper right-hand corner.
Within the Documents area is a
wealth of documentation, including
an online eLearning module, User’s
Guides, and reference materials.

Note: You only have to enter the
Site ID the first time you
give an assessment on this

Select the
Content
Area again
to confirm.
5.
Enter a STUDENT ID.
6.
Confirm the Student Name.
7.
Follow the instructions
to begin the assessment.
Viewing a Student Profile: Student Scores
ASSESSMENT HISTORY
Access the student assessment history for all
assessments taken in a selected subject area.
A graphical view of student longitudinal
performance displays as the green line on the graph.
NOTE: The blue line is the
grade-level aggregate
average for every student
in your district who has
taken the Performance
Series assessment.
Using Suggested Learning Objectives
Once you have viewed student scores, you may
want to view specific skill-based information on
student performance.
1. From the Student Profile,
click Suggested Learning
Objectives.

From the Performance Series
homepage, click Classroom.
2.
Use the drop-down list to select a class.

In the left-hand menu,
select a subject area.
4.
Next, select a unit within that subject
area to view.
5.
The Class Profile appears. On the left-hand
side is a list of the overall SUBJECT AREA
scores for each student in the class. On
the right-hand is a list of UNIT-SPECIFIC
skills and the number of students expected
to have attained that skill, based on their
performance on the test.
6.
Click the STUDENT icon
to view which students
have attained or not attained the objective.
7.
Click the Resource icon or the Targeted Skills
icon
3.
SCALED SCORE and SIP SCORE
The student’s Scaled Score and SIP Score appear
on the right-hand side of the Student Profile.
The Scaled Score is used
to derive all other scores
on the assessment. It
uses an equal-interval
scale to measure performance and growth
over time. The SIP
Score is relative to the
grade level state standards.
The SIP is a percentage of standards the student
is expected to answer correctly from those that
are assessable.
Viewing a Class Report
4.
Select the units for which
you wish to view skillspecific information
relative to this student’s
performance, then click Next.
Select the number of objectives you wish to
view for
standards
that this
student has
attained
and for
standards
where this
student
needs improvement, then click Next.
A list of skills appears, with the skills the
student has successfully attained on the
left-hand side, and the skills the student
needs to focus on for improvement on the
right-hand side.
LEXILE MEASURE
For Reading assessments,
Performance Series provides
a Lexile Measure. Use it to
determine books appropriate to the student’s
reading level.
GLE and NPR
Performance Series provides
a GLE (Grade Level Estimate)
for students. Students who take the assessment
within the normed dates will also display an NPR
(National Percentile Ranking).

Resource icons to access Skills
Connection On-line to build study
guides or skill-based assessments.
to jump to Skills Connection On-line to create
study guides or skill- specific assessments.
