To date, Mosqoy has sponsored over 60 marginalized youth through post-‐secondary education. “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” Thalia is a motivated young woman with a positive approach to life, especially when it comes to her studies. She recognizes the challenges that her community Ollantaytambo is facing and is driven to succeed in order to take leadership and create a more promising future for her community. She believes the best chance at developing a secure and prosperous enviornment is by educating and investing in youth, so she is overjoyed to have the opportunity to continue her studies with hopes of supporting others to do the same in the future. Thalia is currently working at the municipality of Ollantaytambo and already gaining experience in a relevant field. Accounting Student at Khipu Institute US $3000 per year for 3 years About Thalia Thalia has a love for music, dancing, and singing and always has something to smile about! Her favorite subject in school is math— something that comes naturally to her and never fails to keep her thinking. Because of this, it comes as no surprise that she has an interest in economics and plans to study accounting. She comes from a close-‐knit family who has inspired her values of responsibility and kindness and supports her in her pursuit for education, despite their lack of financial means. Thalia’s goal is to succeed in life and support her younger brother who also wants to continue his education. In her free time she loves playing sports and making bracelets!
