A Diplomatic Council Project in Cooperation
with hospitalscout.com
The fundamental motivation for the foundation of the Diplomatic Council was the
encouragement of international relations – entente cordiale in its purest sense. It was
established to serve as a non-governmental Think Tank organisation (NGO) and shall follow
the principles of the charter of the United Nations Organization. The DC network
encompasses around 5000 personalities worldwide. The main aim of the Diplomatic Council
is to contribute the power of diplomacy for peace everywhere on earth. Worldwide
cooperation is the only instrument which may help in solving international problems on any
level: economical, social, cultural or humanitarian. The respect of human rights and
fundamental freedom of people without differentiation in races, gender or religion should
be cultivated and strengthened. The Diplomatic Council welcomes not solely members of the
diplomatic or consular corps but also personalities from industry, politics, society, culture
and sport. The DC global Healthcare Program is available at www.diplomatic-council.org.

Dear Reader,
you have just obtained the latest version of the “Diplomatic Council Hospital Directory for
international Patients in Germany”. This is the official directory of the Diplomatic Council listing of
selected hospitals in Germany which are ready and prepared for international patients.
This hospital guide was created as a joint effort of the Diplomatic Council and the global hospital
directory hospitalscout.com. The German edition is assisted by Germany’s leading hospital portal
kliniken.de. The selection of the international hospitals in Germany is based on the catalogue of
criteria which again was established in cooperation with the international hospital certifier Temos.
This concentrated know-how provides confidence and a sense of comfort for those who have
decided for one of the hospitals listed in this directory.
Embassies, consulates general, consulates and other international organisations will be provided with
the “Diplomatic Council Hospital Directory for international Patients in Germany” free of charge and
may distribute this to other interested parties. Diplomats who are not yet members of the Diplomatic
Council may apply for the membership at www.diplomatic-council.org.
Hospitals that wish to benefit from medical tourism beyond the listing in the directory may apply for
the Diplomatic Council Quality Certificates “Approved for international Patients” and “DC Best
Hospitals of the World”. Detailed information are available at www.diplomatic-council.org.
In this spirit, we wish all hospitals that are organized in the Diplomatic Council a “full house” and in
particular those patients - that have followed the DC hospital recommendation – the best possible

Global Quality Certificates for medical Facilities
The Diplomatic Council medical Program especially designed for patients striving for more security
and quality and for hospitals in search for more international patients.
The Diplomatic Council has two Quality Certificates for medical Facilities with a focus on international
Patients:
• "Best Hospitals of the World" is the highest medical Qualification
given by the Diplomatic Council. Only the worldwide best medical
Facilities (Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers, Dental Hospitals) are
allowed to have this Quality Certification. Until today, just 40
hospitals from Sao Paulo to Manila have successfully passed this
highest DC medical certification in the world. For this purpose and
as common practice, experts will evaluate the hospital in question
for several days after a month-long close coordination and
preparation phase. Based on the expert’s assessment the
certificate will be awarded.
•
"Approved for International Patients" is based on the voluntary
disclosure of confidential Information by the medical Facility. Untill
today more than 150 Hospitals have successfully passed this
process and have qualified for this Certificate.

The Diplomatic Council – A global Think Tank not only for Diplomats
The fundamental motivation for the foundation of the Diplomatic Council was the encouragement of
