Please remember speed limits and distances are posted in
kilometres (per hour), not miles.
Unless otherwise posted, the speed limit within urban areas and
towns is 50 km/h (31 mph).
Motorists must yield the right-of-way to all pedestrians within a
marked crosswalk or within an unmarked crosswalk at the end of a
block. Motorists are also not allowed to park within 5 metres (16.4
feet) of a crosswalk.
The wearing of seat belts is compulsory in Nova Scotia.
Driving under the influence of alcohol is illegal.
You may turn right on a red light after coming to a complete stop.
Remember to yield to all pedestrian traffic, and motor vehicle
traffic approaching from the left, unless otherwise indicated.
When using the Armdale Rotary, remember to “yield then
proceed”. Cars should enter the rotary alternately - one from one
direction and one from the other, and so on.
