Montague Curling Rink
10th – 15th February, 2009
Welcome curlers, coaches, sponsors, family and fans to the Montague Curling Rink.
On behalf of the Members and Board of Directors, I congratulate all participants on reaching the 2009 Final Eight Playdowns.
All of you have worked very hard at your game and that has paid off by you reaching this level. It is now time to see who will
represent PEI at the “Tim Hortons Brier”. The “Brier”, the very name of that Championship inspires thoughts of tradition,
pride, sportsmanship and excellence. Whoever is the winner this week, they will be part of Canadian Curling History. That in
itself is a goal worth achieving.
As members we look forward to watching the very best in men’s curling. As the hosting rink we will try our best to make your
Championship a success. Our facility, members and staff are at your service throughout the week.
Only one team will become champion. That is the nature of competition, to put your best game forward at the right time. The
tradition of PEI is the very best team of the Playdowns always comes out as our Representative. That will surely happen
again. We anxiously wait to see who that will be. I wish the best of luck and good curling to all of you.
George Koke President
Montague Curling Rink

Championship.
We thank David Mitchell, Labatt Representative for the continued support to the Provincial Labatt Tankard Men’s
Championship by himself, Labatt Breweries of Canada, and through their partnership with InBev S.A.
Ray McCourt, President
