WINNER CELEBRATES
20 YEARS IN UKRAINE!
2012 is a special year for Winner. Today we celebrate
a remarkable jubilee – Winner’s 20th anniversary in
Ukraine.
Twenty years ago, on 14 May 1992, Bohdan Kulchyckyj
first came to Kyiv at the invitation of John Hynansky, owner
of Winner Group USA, to establish and take charge of an
official Ford Motor Co. distributor in Ukraine. That date is
considered the symbolic beginning of Winner’s history in
Ukraine, and it is why 14 May kicked off Winner’s yearlong 20th anniversary celebration (from 14 May 2012 to
13 May 2013).
We truly have something to be proud of: 20 years of
success and leadership via professionalism, innovation,
trust, quality, and transparency. And we are not going to
stop there. We are confident in a bright future that will
see us conquer new summits and win new victories and
achievements.

VEHICLES!
Winner has reached another milestone: it has sold
75.000 vehicles since 1992.
This is a remarkable event for the Ford brand, because it
was a Ford vehicle that reached the mark: a Ford C-Max,
to be precise, in the Moondust Silver color.

WINNER IS RECOGNIZED AS 2012’S MOST VALUABLE
CORPORATE BRAND IN UKRAINE AMONG AUTO IMPORTERS
In early August 2012, the authoritative all-Ukrainian
rating magazine GVardia named the Winner brand
2012’s most valuable corporate brand in Ukraine
among auto importers.

among the top three top managers. That is no

In the overall rating of Ukraine’s most valuable
brands, Winner climbed from 23rd to 11th place
among the biggest 200 Ukrainian companies. That’s
an impressive result and a huge achievement for the

After the Ukrainian crew’s stunning victory in the

A WINNER TEAM CHARITABLE PROJECT: WINNER DONATION DRIVE 2012
Over 20 years in business, Winner has been actively
supporting charitable projects, helping children
and families in need. Last year, we began working
with the Hope and Housing for Children in Ukraine
Charitable Organization, which helps prevent child
abandonment, fosters reintegration into families and
closure of large institutions, develops family forms of
upbringing, and creates networks of social centers
to support children and families facing difficult life
circumstances.
In 2011, Hope and Housing for Children in Ukraine
opened Ukraine’s first social center in Ukraine, Ray
of Hope in Makariv. The center’s goal is, first of all,
to forestall family crises and prevent the transfer
of children to children’s homes. Since the center
remains the only one of its kind in our country, financial
and volunteer support is extremely important as it
passes through the initial phase of its development.
Last year Winner provided the financial assistance
to set up a Small Group Home and build a children’s
playground at the Makariv social center. But we
didn’t stop there: our employees participated in a
charitable event, raising money, clothes, and toys for
children, and organized a Volunteer Day, on which

employees helped landscape the center’s premises.
Having spent the last year productively, we can’t but
rejoice now as we see the happy children playing in
a safe, modern playground, surrounded by trees and
bushes and flowers of all colors.
This year, we decided to continue raising money and
clothes among our employees and held a similar
event in June 2012. This time, however, it wasn’t
only Winner Imports Ukraine employees that took
part – the Winner Automotive dealership took part,
too. We gathered 29 huge packs of clothing, 30
useful, multicolored books, 25 packages of toys, and
17 personal hygiene articles. Perhaps these figures
don’t look too impressive, but the items filled up our
reliable helper, a Ford Transit, the rear compartment
of which was loaded to the top with gifts for the
Makariv center! The children’s joy knew no limits, as
the photographs will show.
We would like to thank everybody who participated
in this charitable project, sharing the warmth of their
souls with those who really need it!
The moral upbringing of children comes down to giving them good examples. Live well or at least try to
live well, and you will raise your children well by the measure of your success in life.

A NEW OFFICIAL FORD DEALERSHIP, OLVI CENTER,
OPENS IN KIROVOHRAD
A new Ford sales and maintenance dealership
officially opened in Kirovohrad on 4 August 2012. Olvi
Center, which has been in the automotive business
since 1997, became a new Winner Imports Ukraine
partner and an official Ford importer in Ukraine.
The new Ford auto center accords with Ford’s
requirements: it offers the full range of vehicles
officially imported into Ukraine as well as
maintenance and original spare part sales services.
The Ford service station employs professionally
trained experts, features modern maintenance
and diagnostic equipment and special tools, and
is ready to provide Ford owners with the highest
quality service, service that meets European quality
standards.
The opening ceremony began with a speech and
a symbolic ribbon-cutting by Nazar Detsyk, Ford
Market Representation Manager at Winner Imports
Ukraine, and Oleh Telenkov, Olvi Center Director.
Everyone at the ceremony could see the entire
model line, take a test drive, and see the advantages

that Ford vehicles offer. In addition, the guests could
take place in a drawing of various gifts from Ford,
see an unbelievable bartenders’ show, and enjoy
cocktails and snacks to the musical accompaniment
of a lounge band and a DJ. The smallest visitors
weren’t forgotten either: a team of animators created
a festive atmosphere for kids in the special children’s
zone. Then there was a special surprise that truly
stunned everybody: the ceremony was visited by the
Fords themselves, driving a Ford car: Henry Ford,
together with his wife Clara and the great inventor
Thomas Edison, congratulated the good citizens of
Kirovohrad on this important event and courteously
posed for photos with everybody who wanted one.
Olvi Center is Ukraine’s 37th official Ford sales
and maintenance dealership. It will start building a
conceptual Ford dealership soon.

SERIAL JAGUAR F-TYPE DEBUTS IN PARIS
The new two-seat roadster Jaguar F-Type, based on a wholly aluminum platform, will
debut at the Paris Auto Show on 27 September.
Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director for Jaguar Cars, says, “The unveiling of
the F-Type in Paris will be a truly significant day in Jaguar’s history, marking the
company’s return to the sports car market, a market it originally helped to create. As
its sporting forebears did in their era, the F-Type will break new ground by delivering

The Jaguar F-Type will be available on the market as a roadster with one of three
compressor gasoline engines: two versions of the brand new V6 3.0 340 and 380
HP engine and an upgraded modification of the well-known 5-liter V-like “eight.” All
components will receive the original Stop-Start automatic system and will transmit their
extraordinary power to the rear wheels in tandem with a ZF eight-speed automatic
transmission.

Land Rover has given the Freelander 2 a premium
overhaul, delivering even better comfort, convenience
and driving enjoyment.
Passive start replaces key dock and there is a new
‘intelligent’ electric parking brake which adjusts brake
force according to the slope the vehicle is parked on.
Interior equipment levels soar to new heights in the
Freelander 2 with a host of fresh and exciting features

theme, brand new centre console, 7-inch colour touchscreen with enhanced audio systems from Meridian,

WINNER OF THE REFUEL PULLS – WIN A VOLVO XC60 CONTEST IS NAMED
OLYMPIC BOXERS RECEIVE VOLVO CARS “FOR EFFORT AND COURAGE”

On 3 August 2012 the winner of the Refuel Pulls –
Win a Volvo XC60 contest was named in Lviv. The
contest was held jointly by OKKO and Volvo.
Olympic champions Vasil Lomachenko and
Oleksandr Usyk received XC90s. Silver medalist
Denis Berinchyk and bronze medalists Taras
Shelestuk and Oleksandr Gvozdick received keys to
new S80 sedans.
Ukrainian boxers who took part in this summer’s
Olympic Games in London have received addition
presents – Volvo automobiles.
The Boxing Federation of Ukraine has presented
the heroes, who posted the most successful results
since Ukraine began competing in the Games as
an independent country, with keys to new Volvos –
Volvo XC90 crossovers and Volvo S80 sedans.
The winner was chosen by random computer draw
on 3 July 2012, with the participation of the DKUkraine auditing firm, a member of the international
Nexia International network of independent auditors
and consultants.
The Boxing Federation didn’t forget Eugene Khitrov
either: he got an S80 sedan. Although Eugene
failed to pass through the second Olympic round, all
Ukrainians know that he was victorious against the
British, despite the judges’ decision.
Lutsk resident Alexander Kalenyuk took the main
prize - a new Volvo XC60.
The cars for the winners were provided by Ukraine’s
official Volvo importer, Winner Imports Ukraine, and
official Volvo dealer Viking Motors.
In addition, a thousand lucky participants won radiocontrolled Volvo XC60 model cars in the lottery.
Some 47.000 people took part in the contest.
Our congratulations to the Ukrainian Olympic boxing
team and our best wishes for good luck in the future!
The contest took place in the OKKO network,
supported by Volvo, from 1 May through 30 June.

LIGHTER, FASTER, MORE MANEUVERABLE: THE NEW 911 CARRERA 4
The new 911 Carrera 4 combines the impressive
dynamics and effectiveness parameters of the new
generation of 911 Carrera with the advantages of РТМ
(Porsche Traction Management).
The new all-wheel-drive 911 comes in four versions:
911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S, each in coupé
and cabriolet form. These models have the same
characteristic features as the rear-wheel-drive versions:
the lightweight body, suspension, engines, and
transmissions are all identical; the cars differ only in the
modifications associated with all-wheel drive.

The all-wheel-drive 911 is distinguished, first of all, by a
wider rear body compared to the rear-wheel-drive 911
Carrera: its rear wheel arches are 22 mm and its rear
tires are 10 mm wider. The traditional red strip between
the rear lights has also gotten a new look.
(cabriolet: 282 kph). The fuel consumption rate for a
vehicle with a PDK transmission is 8.6 L per 100 km for
the coupé and 8.7 L per 100 km for the cabriolet.
Both versions of the 911 Carrera 4S have a 400 HP
3.8-liter opposite engine in the rear. Thanks to this
engine, the vehicle accelerates to 100 kph in 4.1 sec
(the cabriolet takes 4.3 sec). It has a maximum speed of
299 kph for the coupé and of 296 kph for the cabriolet.
The fuel consumption rate for a vehicle with PDK
transmission is 9.1 L per 100 km for the coupé and 9.2 L
per 100 km for the cabriolet.
All new models have 7-speed manual transmission as
a standard option – it’s also available with a Porsche
Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission as an additional
option. The 911 Carrera 4 coupé with its 350 HP
engine accelerates to 100 kph in 4.5 sec (the cabriolet
takes 4.7 sec) and has a maximum speed of 285 kph

The new 911 Carrera 4 has a new menu section that
indicates transmission performance. In addition, with
the debut of the 911 Carrera 4, Porsche introduces an
adaptive cruise control (АСС) system for the 911 model
line, available as an option. In ordering an АСС system
with PDK, the customer will get Porsche Active Safe
(PAS) functions that help avoid frontal collision.

PORSCHE WORLD ROADSHOW IN UKRAINE: 5 DAYS, 200 PARTICIPANTS, 10 VEHICLES
For the first time in four years the Porsche World
Roadshow has returned to Ukraine. From 16-20
August, almost 200 participants could test the entire
Porsche model line. The Porsche AG management is
convinced that the best way to feel the possibilities
and character of a sports car is to get behind the
wheel and test it yourself. Each year, then, the test
fleet and the professional instructors visit over 20
countries on various continents. This time, Ukraine
welcomed the latest models from the renowned
German sports car manufacturer: the Boxster S, the
911 Carrera S Cabrio, the Panamera GTS, and the
seventh generation of the legendary 911 Carrera S

coupé and Cayenne Turbo. The goal was to give
drivers a feel for how the cars will behave in real
operating conditions on the road, not in the ideal world
of the test track. The test drive route included both
high-speed sections and sections where the vehicle’s
maneuverability and drivability could be tested. In
addition, the one-and-a-half-hour test drive enabled
participants to appreciate the comfort and quality of
the interior, test the behavior of vehicles in the Sport
and Sport Plus modes, and compare models with
each other. In addition, one of the first Cayenne GTS
cars to have arrived in Ukraine was shown during the
event. A more powerful engine, improved dynamic
characteristics, a sports suspension with lowered
ground clearance, and a vivid sports design – these
are the qualities that distinguish the new GTS among
the Cayenne model line.
Besides a test drive, guests enjoyed the exquisite
atmosphere of a top horseback riding club, memorable
gifts, and a chance to talk to the instructors during
both the testing of the new models and during the
events for existing and potential owners.
