DIRECTOR’S NOTE
GREASE IS THE WORD!
When Craig asked me if I would be interested in directing and choreographing
Grease, I didn’t even have to think about it twice. Without missing a beat I shouted
an enthusiastic “Yes!” and I couldn’t wait to get started!! But, not everyone shares
my enthusiasm for Grease. “What?” you say. “How can that be?” I know! It’s such
a fun show! The characters, the music…..how can you not like it?
Many people enjoy the movie but dislike the play. The movie makes us want to
jump up and sing and dance because the music is so infectious. Some people
come to see the play expecting to hear “You’re The One That I Want” and
“Hopelessly Devoted to You” only to find that they don’t exist in the original stage
version. I’m happy to say that you will be hearing those songs today. Others don’t
like the message it sends out. That in order to win over the person you love you
have to change not only who you are, but your moral values. Giving in to peer
pressure to drink, smoke and have sex. I don’t like those messages either. But
what if that isn’t what is being said here? After doing my prep work and research
on this show I came across an interview that quoted one of the writers, stating
that the original concept of Grease was how to find your true authentic self and
transition. So, Sandy really didn’t change for Danny. She simply embraced who
she really was inside. That’s who was there all along; she just wasn’t sure how
to express it.
That is not to say Sandy is bad. She is most definitely not the bad girl. She is
still the girl next door who has been brought up with strong moral values and
respect for herself and for others. But what I hope to show you is a stronger,
more curious Sandy. A Sandy who knows right from wrong yet makes her own
choices, good or bad. That’s what we do as we grow up. So here we are watching
these characters struggle through their high school years; struggle through the
transition from teenager to young adults; figuring out who they are and who
they want to be. All while rebelling, cussing, drinking, smoking and yes, some
of them are even having sex. Hey, we’ve all been here in our own lives – lived
through this – had to make the hard choices on our path to finding ourselves,
and made some mistakes along the way - just like these characters do. That is
what Grease says to me.
Now, take a deep breath and get ready, because this cast is going to make you
want to Hand Jive Baby! Grease Is The Word, so throw your mittens around your
kittens and away we go!!!

Acting Company
LANI BASICH
(Miss Lynch) Lani is a local
actress who has been
performing in this county
since 1997. Receiving local
nominations and awards
from the SOTA academy
for her performances in
local theatre over the recent years, Lani
hopes to continue working and developing
her craft for many more years to come.
“Acting, performing, and the theatre arts
is my biggest passion. Being able to work
in this field is a dream come true-one that
I long to hold on to with every fiber of my
being.” Lani also enjoys designing hair
and makeup, with her twin sister Janelle,
for various artists and companies varying
from local theatre: 6th Street Playhouse,
Raven Players, What a Show Productions,
Analy Arts; to various film productions, and
local photographers. “I am exceedingly
grateful for all the opportunities I have been
afforded, and I look forward to continuing to
work in this great county before spreading
my wings into the greater North Bay such
as Marin and San Francisco. I will pursue a
career in Opera through the San Francisco
conservatory.”
ADAM BLANKENSHIP
(Doody) Adam is currently
a student at the Santa
Rosa Junior College,
where he just finished
playing Prince Herbert
and Not-Dead-Fred in their
production of Spamalot.
This is Adam’s first show here at 6th Street
Playhouse, and he’s excited to be working
with such a talented and welcoming cast.
Grease holds a special place in his heart, as
it was the first musical he was a part of in
high school, and can’t wait to force his family
to come watch it again.

(Eugene Florczyk) Eyan is
delighted to be returning
to the stage as Eugene.
Eyan spends his time
writing, directing, acting
and training to be a
massage therapist.
SHAWNA EIERMANN
(Patty Simcox) Shawna
comes from a long line of
performers, artists, and
musicians dating back
to her great grandfather
who was the piano and
harp tuner for the Marx
Brothers. As an entertainer Shawna has
performed in pubs, churches, theatres, and
rooftops all over the world, with her most
recent endeavors being featured in 6th
Street Playhouse’s Becky Shaw and Dirty
Rotten Scoundrels. She holds a BA in Drama
& Music from San Francisco State University
and a Masters in Music Industry Studies from
the University of Glasgow in Scotland. She
is thrilled to be once again performing with
6th Street Playhouse, and hopes you vote
for her for Vice President of Rydell High’s
Student Council!
ANTHONY GUZMAN
(Danny Zuko) Anthony
started acting when he
was fifteen in his first
musical Les Miserables
at El Molino High School;
the next year he starred
in The Fiddler on the Roof
as Tevye which was also at El Molino. The
summer after his junior year he attended
The California State Summer School of the
Arts where he studied theatre and acting.
After he finished high school he moved on
to the Santa Rosa Junior College where he

starred in My Fair Lady. Since then Anthony
has performed in many more shows such as
Camelot, where he played the role of Lancelot
at the Spreckels Performing Arts Center
in Rohnert Park, Fredrik in A Little Night
Music at Roustabout Theater, just reprised
Les Miserables as Javert at the SRJC,
Victor/Victoria as King Marchan here at the
Playhouse, Tommy In Annie Get Your Gun
at Spreckels, and just finished Thoroughly
Modern Millie here as Jimmy. Anthony has
been in 13 musicals and 1 play, which was
The Complete History of America (Abridged)
where he played Detective Spade Diamond.
He also has a metal band called Nuclear
Tempest as guitarist and lead vocalist.
TREVOR HOFFMANN
(Kenickie) Trevor is thrilled
to be a part of this, his 2nd
Grease and his 6th show
at the Playhouse. You
may have seen him here
as Jerry (The Full Monty),
Cosmo Brown (Singin’ in
the Rain), or Sir Robin (Spamalot). Trevor
has voice acted for video games (TTG: The
Walking Dead and 400 Days). When not acting
and directing, Trevor teaches gymnastics in
Rohnert Park, and his students in 6th Street’s
School of Drama will be performing Thoroughly
Modern Millie this summer. Special thanks to
Trevor’s parents and grandparents, and to
Curtis, Gretchen, and Brenna.
KAYLA KEARNEY
(Rizzo) Kayla is very
excited to join the cast
of Grease this summer!
She performed once
before on the G.K Hardt
stage back in 2010 with a
teen production of RENT
(Joanne). She is very happy to be returning
alongside this wonderful cast! Kayla has
been performing from a young age, and has
focused her training in acting and musical

theatre over the last five years. She has just
finished three years at the SRJC, and was
in shows including Sweeney Todd, Beauty
and the Beast, Legally Blonde: The Musical
(Vivienne), and her last show Distracted
(Mama) where she was nominated for an
Irene Ryan Award through the American
College Theatre Festival. Next fall Kayla will
be transferring to either Long Beach State or
UC Santa Barbara where she will continue
her training and studies. She wants to thank
the wonderful team at 6th Street and of
course her family for the unconditional love
and support!
APRIL KRAUTNER
(Marty) April is a familiar
face to the North Bay
stages, particularly at
6th Street Playhouse.
She is a trained dancer
and actor having studied
the Meisner Technique.
Some favorite credits include The 39 Steps
portraying all female roles, Ulla in The
Producers, Nellie in Kite’s Book, Essie in
You Can’t Take It With You, Maria in Lend
Me A Tenor and the Sextuplets in Wonder of
The World. She hopes to further her acting
studies in the coming year and looks forward
to whatever adventure is on the horizon.

NATHANIEL MERCIER
(Sonny) Nate is a
striving character actor
who is a theatre arts
major at the Santa Rosa
Junior College with a

Prince in Snow White, Topper and Ghost

(Frenchy)
Sidney
is
delighted to join the
cast of Grease in her

You may have seen her
in recent productions
around Sonoma County, such as Thoroughly
Modern Mille, Annie Get Your Gun,
Brigadoon and the 2012 North Bay premiere
of Young Frankenstein. In her spare time
she loves playing ukulele, belly dance, and
obsessing over cats.Teehee. She would like

CASEY MORGAN
(Ensemble) Casey is
making her return to
the stage in 6th Street
Playhouse’s
production
of Grease. As a student
of life, she strayed from
her passion of performing
to pursue other joys. Her beautiful children
Cash, now age six, and Kena, age five, are
her best work. While being a stage mother
for her daughter, she realized that her true
desire was to get back to it herself. Which
brought her to audition for Grease under
the direction of the brilliant Staci Arriaga.
She is thoroughly enjoying working with the
amazing cast and crew at 6th Street, and is
so grateful for this opportunity!

(Sandy
Dumbrowski)
Amanda is tickled pink
to make her debut with
6th Street Playhouse
this summer. She has
recently been seen as
Cosette in Les Miserables
at the Santa Rosa Junior College; Snookie
Updegraff in 110 in the Shade at Cinnabar
Theater; and in the New York and California
tour of Prop 8 Love Stories. She is currently a
student at the Junior College and in the future
plans to transfer to LA to major in theater.
She also works as a children’s entertainer at
Amazing Fairytale Parties under the fabulous
direction of Stephanie St. James. She hopes
to continue performing all throughout her life
and dreams of becoming a music teacher for
children and young adults. Amanda sends
all of her love to her little sister who recently
gave a stellar performance as Patty Simcox
at her high school’s performance of Grease!
DELL PARKER
(Johnny
Casino/Teen
Angel) Dell is excited to
be returning to 6th Street
Playhouse and being a
part of Grease! He was
last here for his first show
with 6SPH in a production
of Smokey Joe’s Cafe. Born in South
Carolina, Dell grew up singing in his church.
He has always loved music and performing.
Dell performed in a few community musicals
through high school and college with one
of his favorite roles being Charlie Brown in
You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. After
moving to Northern California, Dell had the
opportunity to be in a production of Rent at
the Raven. Since then, he has been working
on his song writing and music project
ODELL, a soul, jazz and R&B collaboration.
He looks forward to more shows with 6SPH
in the future.

JONATHAN PAYNE
(Vince Fontaine/Ensemble)
Jonathan is very excited to
be a part of Grease. He
has studied Acting, Voice
and Dance at Napa Valley
College and will continue
his training at Cornish
College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington,
this September. He began acting in the Fall of
2012, and shortly after was in the ensemble
of Napa Valley College’s The Sound Of
Music. Jonathan has continued acting in
the ensemble of the 6th Street Playhouse’s
productions of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,
Victor/Victoria, Monty Python’s Spamalot,
and Singin’ In The Rain. He was also in the
Bay Area Stage Production of Scrooge: The
Musical at the Fetterly Playhouse in Vallejo,
where he played the Nephew, Harry, and
young Ebenezer Scrooge. Jonathan has
enjoyed working with such a talented cast
and crew and is looking forward to working in
more 6th Street Playhouse productions.
Trevor attended the SRJC and then moved
on to AMDA in LA., returning home in 2013.
Trevor is thrilled to be reprising his first role
ever here at 6SP in his first show AT 6SP.
ANDREA ROSALESJACINTO
(Ensemble) Andrea is
thrilled to be a part of
this amazing cast, just
finishing her second year
at the JC and majoring
in Theatre Arts-Acting.
Andrea began performing on stage at the
age of 14 with past roles including Princess
Winnifred the Woebegone in Once Upon
a Mattress, Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, along
with Les Miserables, Spring Awakening,
and Spamalot. Andrea would like to thank
her parents and family for supporting her
aspirations in the performing arts.
HILLARY ST. JOHN
(Charlene
“Cha-Cha”
DiGregorio/Ensemble)
Hillary is thrilled to join
the cast of Grease here
at 6th Street Playhouse.
She was most recently
seen as Gloria in the
playhouse’s production of Thoroughly
Modern Millie, her first show here, though
you may have seen her in recent productions
of Les Miserables at the J.C. and Annie Get
Your Gun at Spreckels. Well here she is
again, playing the saucy Cha Cha. She had
previously taken part in the JC’s production.
She loved it so much, she just couldn’t get
enough! She wants to thank everyone that
has supported her throughout her years and
hopes that you enjoy it as much as she has.
TREVOR SAKAI-JOLIVETTE
(Roger) Trevor has spent the last four years
being devoted to theatre. After starting
college as a vocal major, he landed the
role in his first musical ever as Roger in
GREASE, back in 2010. Since then, Trevor
has performed in multiple shows including
Jesus Christ Superstar as King Herod,
Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd, and Mssr.
Thenadier in Les Miserables, to note a few.
ALEX STERLING
(Ensemble) Alex is proud
to return to 6th Street
Playhouse as a part
of their production of
Grease. He has been an
actor for many years now
with roles in the SRJC’s
productions of Les Miserables as a student
of the barricade and a part of the ensemble
as well as Yasha in Anton’s Chekov’s The
Cherry Orchard and ensemble in Beauty and
the Beast. He is currently at Sonoma State
University double majoring in Theater and
Psychology as well as continuing his skills
at Improvisational comedy. He hopes you
enjoy the show and that it brings back great
memories of the 50s for you! Yes! All you kids
out there!

GILLES STRICHER
(Ensemble) A newcomer
to theatre, Gilles is thrilled
to be working on Grease
for his second show. He
initially fell in love with
theatre in his first musical,

playing the role of Combeferre, a barricade
boy, in Santa Rosa’s Fall 2013 production
of the epic opera Les Miserables, directed
by Laura Downing-Lee. Gilles blames his
stubborn French pride for forcing him to
audition for Les Miserables on a whim, and
thankfully, begin acting. In the Fall, Gilles will
be moving to Los Angeles to study at UCLA
and advance as an actor.
AMY WEBBER
(Jan) Amy is absolutely
thrilled to be part of such
a fun and iconic show.
She feels honored to once
again wear the Pink Lady
jacket, having previously
played Marty just a few
years ago. This show marks her third in a row
this year and she feels extremely blessed
to have these continued opportunities here
at 6th Street! Previously, you may have
seen Amy as the rowdy Oklahoma oil heiress
Jolene Oakes in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels!
Past favorite shows include: The Full Monty,
Jekyll and Hyde, Victor/Victoria, Jesus Christ
Superstar and Smokey Joe’s Cafe. Amy
would like to thank her parents and family for
all of their love and support. Special thanks
to her big sisters and as always her beautiful

PHILLIP PERCY
WILLIAMS
(Johnny
Casino/Teen
Angel) An 11-year veteran
of Beach Blanket Babylon
he has also toured with
Carnival Cruise Lines
in a Broadway revue
and his solo show (A Tribute to Nat King
Cole). Most recently he revived his role as
Captain Tempest in Return to the Forbidden
Planet at NTC and also received a 2014
SFBATCC nomination for his role of Jim in
CoM’s production of Big River directed by
James Dunn. Other credits include Scarlet
Pimpernel, Ain’t Misbehavin, Working, Music
Man and The Wiz to name a few. Phillip
continues to be featured in galas for Bread
& Roses, MGH Foundation, Spirit of Marin
and Roots of Peace. His jazz trio, The Phillip

Production Staff
STACI ARRIAGA (Director/Choreographer)
Staci is happy to be back at 6th Street
Playhouse. After choreographing The Rocky
Horror Picture Show and Victor/Victoria she
was very excited to come back for Grease.
She would like to thank Craig for giving her
the opportunity to not only choreograph,
but to direct this show as well. Staci has
been teaching dance for 23 years and
choreographing musical theatre for the
last 18 years. As a director/choreographer
she has tackled shows including Seussical
The Musical, Joseph and The Amazing
Technicolor Dream Coat, Cinderella and
Thoroughly Modern Millie. She teaches
workshops all over the Bay Area as well
as teaching tap and jazz for the Woodland
Opera House Dance program. Ms. Arriaga’s
choreography has been seen in Solano,
Contra Costa, and Sonoma Counties as
well as the San Francisco Bay Area. She
has earned two Dean Goodman Awards, an
Elly Award and several Arty Awards as well
as a Bay Area Critics Award nomination for
her work. Over the years Staci has enjoyed
working with several theatre companies
including Willows, 42nd Street Moon, Napa
Valley Playhouse, The Woodland Opera
House, Starbound Youth Theatre, Berkeley
Playhouse, Missouri Street Theatre, Diablo
Theatre Company and 6th Street Playhouse.
Staci would like to give special thanks to
Nancy and Bill Morgan for giving her a place
to rest her head after many rehearsals. A big
shout out to the entire cast, crew and staff
at 6th Street for making this journey fun as
we worked tirelessly to create what you are
about to see. And huge thank you to Jeff

JEFF BASHAM (Production Stage Manager)
Jeff is returning to Stage Manage Grease,
after a year away from 6th Street Playhouse.
Jeff is a 19 year veteran of theatre in Sonoma
County, having participated in his first show
during middle school. Most recently he stage
managed Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at City
Winery/Napa Valley Opera House, and last
year, the run of The Full Monty, right here
in the G.K. Hardt Theatre. He also stage
managed 2012’s wildly successful runs of

working backstage aboard Norwegian Cruise
Line America’s ships. He wishes to thank the
cast and production team of Grease for their
commitment to excellence, and especially,
Staci Arriaga, Director/Choreographer for
her friendship and support.
JANELLE BASICH (Hair/Make up Designer)
Janelle is a local makeup designer here in
Sonoma County. She thrives on theatre and
looks forward to doing every show she can.
This has been such an incredible journey.
BARB BEATIE (Costume Designer) Barb
started in theatre assisting with makeup and
hair, and then transitioned to set building
for Bus Barn Theater in Los Altos, and Fox
Theater in Redwood City. After a brief sojourn,
she returned to theatre, and was blessed to
be mentored by Costume Designer, Tracy
Hinman Sigrist. Barb designed the costumes
for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels this last month
and for The Miracle Junkie this January.
Thanks to her family, her 6th Street family,
Tracy Hinman Sigrist, Pam Enz, her teacher
at SRJC, Julia Kwitchoff, and the whole cast
and crew for this wonderful experience.
SKYLAR EVANS (Lighting Designer) Skylar
has found himself at home here at 6th St
Playhouse helping construct the sets. In
addition to having mixed and assistant
directed past productions, Skylar also just
directed the ten-minute play Salvador in the
Play Festival. Recent light design credits
include: Boeing Boeing, The Lonesome
West, The Beauty Queen of Leenane,
The Year of Magical Thinking, Thoroughly
Modern Millie and the Passport to the Plays
Play Festival (6SP) as well as Les Misérables
(SRJC). Come see him act in Becky Shaw
next door in the Studio!
HARRY MILLER (Assistant Stage Manager)
Harry is thrilled to be working with 6th Street
again. He has been working in theatre for the
past four years, on such shows as Spamalot,
Distracted, Jesus Christ Superstar and many
others. His favorite movie is “Monty Python and
the Holy Grail”, and his favorite color is blue.
VINCENT MOTHERSBAUGH (Scenic Designer,
Technical Director) A midlife career change
introduced this former aircraft mechanic
to the world of theatre and dance. Vincent
has studied in the well-known Santa Rosa
Junior College Theatre Arts Department and
Summer Repertory Theatre. He has been
involved in over 50 shows around Sonoma
County including work in scenic, lighting and
properties design. Vincent’s love for local
theatre grows every day.
NATHAN RIEBLI (Musical Director) Nathan
is excited to be working with such a stellar
cast and crew for his first production at
6th Street Playhouse. Nathan has been
conducting, performing, arranging, and
composing music theatre and opera since
2001. He recently completed a run as
Music Director for Spamalot at the SRJC. In
addition to working on shows Nathan writes
music for film and television. His music can
be heard on Mob Wives (VH1), Web Soup
(G4), Risky Listing (Esquire), Wicked Single
(VH1), Access Hollywood (NBC), Sports
Spectacular (CBS), and a few others in
production. Nathan has a Bachelor’s of
Music from the University of the Pacific
Conservatory of Music and a Master’s of
Music from the University of Missouri –
Kansas City Conservatory of Music, both in
composition. He has written two operas and
is currently arranging and orchestrating a
brand new musical, soon to be revealed, and
is working on his own when he finds the time.

SHANNON RIDER (Assistant Director/
Dance Captain) Shannon has been seen
on stage at 6th Street Playhouse many
times. You may have seen her play Magenta
in Rocky Horror Show, Lin in The Great
American Trailer Park Musical, Patsy Cline in
Always, Patsy Cline and most recently Dirty
Rotten Scoundrels. She met director Staci
Arriaga when Arriaga choreographed Rocky
Horror and both having dance backgrounds
and a similar approach to the work, they hit
it off perfectly. Shannon became Arriaga’s
Dance Captain for that show and now for
Grease she is not only the Dance Captain
but also enjoying her first experience as an
Assistant Director.
