sets of side doors and a trad stern by Tim Tyler. High quality
professional fit-out in light oak & mahogany offering 2-5 berth
accommodation by Braidbar Boats. Powered by a Beta Marine
1900cc, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with Hurth HBW 125-2.0
gearbox and electric bow-thruster with controls at the stern.
Kisimul’s Galley is a very handsome and well cared for one owner,
trad stern narrowboat. She was completed in 1995 by the highly
regarded builder Braidbar Boats, and is based on a Tim Tyler hull.
She was last out of the water in 2014 when she was subject to a hull
survey. Whilst out of the water she benefitted from an exterior
repaint and hull blacking. The anodes were also replaced. Viewing
is highly recommended.

FROM THE BOW
From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 5 self
draining well deck with steel locker seats to either side. There
is a hardwood cratch frame with windows to the front and a
zipped and studded vinyl cover. The stainless steel water tank
is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler.
The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch.
GENERIC FIXTURES AND FITTINGS
The ceilings and cabin sides are lined with light oak faced plywood trimmed with solid mahogany.
Hull sides are lined with plywood covered with carpet. All interior wood has been varnished. There
are curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is carpet except in the galley and shower
room which have linoleum.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Beta Marine 1900cc, 4 cylinder,
marine diesel engine coupled to a Hurth HBW 125-2.0
gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The
exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the
side deck.
The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start
battery and the 3 leisure batteries.
BOW-THRUSTER
Electric bow-thruster with controls at the stern.
WATER
The stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well
deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located behind
the front step. Twin coil calorifier is heated by the Webasto
diesel fired boiler, and/or the engine heat exchanger.
HEATING
Heating is provided by the Squirrel multi-fuel stove in the
saloon and the Webasto diesel fired central heating boiler
running 4 radiators.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
2 x 12v, engine driven alternators.
