Airdiem is a luxury french brand, which picks up the thread of French
excellency in narghiles manufacture.
Till the end of the 20th century, firms as Baccarat, Saint Louis and
Christofle used to deliver narghiles to diplomatic departments all over
the world, as well as some palaces.
Airdiem took this thread back offering French master-craftsman
manufactured product.

“Etoile” design Jean Philippe Martin
Jean-Philippe MARTIN, Designer has been carefully creating exceptional and emblematic pieces for
over 10 years for the world’s finest brands from Louis Vuitton to Airdiem.
His achievements have been shaped by the footprint of travel, his knowledge of cultures, and a
collaboration with the world’s finest manufacturers.
10 Blocks of the purest obsidian were selected from the mountains of Armenia.
More than 150 hours of cutting and polishing of the 200 facets were made by master craftsmen.
Each piece is unique, signed and numbered.
The Sultan said,
" Create for us a unique

Like the radiant Star of the
East
That shines in the night,
And calls and guide our
thoughts and deeds,
In all its majesty"

“Oxygen” design Vanessa Mitrani
Amongst her large repertoire of work, French artist Vanessa Mitrani
creates beautiful and functional hand-blown glass decorative vessels
that can also function as fish tanks or fishbowls.

Baccarat narghile
This model is a copy of a narghile created in 1986 for the court (Diwani) of Turkish Sultan (Abdel
Ahmed II).
More than 250 hours of work permitted to craftsmanship to deliver this piece.

Design and technology
Airdiem's art of making the narghile is rooted in the French tradition of exceptional craftmanship,
which first started in the 19th century with Baccarat and Saint Louis introducing their designs of
narghiles to the rest of the world.
Today, Airdiem research and design team have created a modern version to suit elite customer's
search for high quality products fitting their lifestyle.

Be demanding
Today many narghile are on offer but to enjoy a safe and pleasurable experience it is important to
know what it takes to make an excellent narghile.
A natural product : 75% melasse (honey and fruits) and 25
% tobacco … but zero calorie.
These mixtures can be found in tobacco shops and duty
free shops.
Very much like the legendary tea ceremony, the
preparation of the narghile and the presentation of the
mixture add to the pleasure of the smoking experience.

“Disco Pipe” design Hicham Lahlou
Hicham Lahlou is born and is living in Morocco. This land of tradition discovered
the narghile just a couple of years ago.
An atypical designer, Hicham Lahlou is considered as the precursor of industrial
design in Morocco, Africa and in the entirety of the Arab World, and can be
attributed for having made Moroccan design a reality.

"Smoke Me!" by Emmanuel Meyssonnier
With this 30-year-old designer’s narghile, Airdiem is more than ever trendy. This fashionable object
is also a nomad one. It makes us imagine the end of an afternoon at the beach, chatting with friends
of the evening party to come…
Its coloured aluminium body makes it look like bright plastic. It is nevertheless ballasted to stand up
firmly in the wind. The “Smoke me “is 27 cm high, and is easy to carry anywhere in its neoprene bag
(much inspired of the surfing’s way of life).".

"N" by Nedda El-Asmar
A Belgian designer with Palestinian roots, Nedda El-Asmar has become a major figure in the world of
décor. Hermès, Puiforcat, Robbe & Berkings and Villeroy & Bochs have picked up her bold and
witty creations.
Nedda was voted European Designer of the Year in 2007 by the French newspaper l’Express. Her
narghile received the 2008 Henry Van de Velde design prize, along with the Observeur du Design
award that same year.

streamlined that also looked timeless.
It’s a functional object that suggests
those moments of relaxation when you
just take your own time, yet also feels

Something of a UFO in contemporary design, Hilton McConnico has been designing and taking risks
for 40 years with a universally recognized style all his own: playful and irreverent.

TRIBUDESIGN is an untypical agency consisting of talented young Lebanese
designers.
Their logo shaped like a mask expresses their collective attitude against the star

“If you want to preserve tradition, you have to help it evolve. So, by making the
narghile more functional and practical to use, we wanted to create new social
behaviors around an object that was mired in tradition.”
