How To Use Designer Series Templ ates

Step 1: Building the frame work is essential for keeping
the shapes symmetrical. Notice the two different Parallel
Templates used, the woofer trim uses the same template
back-to-back giving it a nice flow.
Step 2: Once the frame work is complete, the edges
and bottom layer are taped off for protection. Two part
foam is then added to give the panels clean contours and
smooth edges for the fiberglass.
Step 3: The next step is to add fiberglass for strength
and then bondo to shape and smooth out any uneven
surfaces.
Step 4: Clean and Tight, with a good selection of
materials, Vinyl, Suede, Acrylic and Aluminum mesh. This
is a great example of how to use our Smart Templates.

How To Use Smart Fill Templ ates
Smart Fill Templates offer a simple
fast way to add raised lettering to any
surface (wood, fiberglass, plastic,
and metal). Save countless hours of
cutting sound damping or vinyl to get
this unique look. Apply spray glue to
the back, position the template, add
body filler, then remove the template,
and your done…Simple, Fast, Easy!
Just like many of our other templates,
these can be used countless times for
high duplication. They are made from
a durable 1/16” ABS plastic and laser
cut for precision. Our SFT can also
be reversed to have an Embossed or
Debossed look, apply body filler to the
inside or outside shapes to achieve your
custom panel.
Step 1: Spray a release agent to top/bottom to ensure
filler won’t stick, and can be removed.
Step 2: Apply body filler to inside openings (no
bubbles). Build filler over the entire template.
Step 3: Sand surface of the body filler to expose detail in
plastic, allow template to be removed without damage.
Step 4: Remove template.
Step 5: Carefully sand the top of the filler
left on the panel.
Step 6: At this point the panel can be covered with
vinyl or primed and painted.

How To Use Dry L aminating Film
The question we hear most often about this stuff is “what the heck is laminating film?” Laminating film is one of the “tricks of the trade”
used in getting logos or system designs into your installations. In this “How To” feature, we briefly describe how to laminate a printed
graphic to a piece of acrylic. You can really laminate just about anything that needs identity and that can be printed on a basic ink-jet
style printer. Laminating as we demonstrate it here is an essential component to creating brand awareness for your shop!
Begin with the printed graphic (sized
larger than your acrylic), the polished
acrylic, and the film. You will also need
a razor knife, a squeegee and some
plastic cleaner in a spray bottle

2 Sided Foam Tape:
•The compression foam tape is used for both temporary and
permanent adhesion of parts that need to maintain a vapor channel
so that moisture will not trap under the surface.
2 Sided Template Tape:
•The 2-sided template tape has an extremely aggressive tack for
placing templates together, but because it’s thinner than most tapes
you won’t have any sliding of the template while pushing it into the
bearing on the router bit.
After cleaning thoroughly, spray the
acrylic with plastic cleaner, then peel
& stick one side of the film. Use the
squeegee to push the liquid out.
After drying it thoroughly, peel the other
side and stick the acrylic to your print.
Once it’s stuck down, push the air
bubbles out with a hard card and then
trim with a razor knife!

machined 5/8” holes in a 2” grid pattern for locating, positioning and holding

uneven floors and the table has a 2 ton (4000lb) capacity!

that engages the fan only when internal temperatures
