Dear friends!
We present you the first annual report of the Whole
World International Save
the Children Charitable Fund
which describes the major
achievements and results of
our work in 2013.
The Whole World Charitable
Fund was established in 2012
to help children with serious
diseases. The main objective
of the organization’s work
is to render material aid to
children with oncological,
hematological and other diseases and traumas in need
of expensive high-technology
treatment and rehabilitation.
The major line of activities
of the Fund is aid to children
with malignant bone tumors.
For many years the treatment
of such diseases presupposed
major disabling surgeries –
complicated amputation of
extremities. At present there
is a possibility of performing
conservative surgeries when
the affected section of the
bone and joint is substituted
with an endoprosthetisis. In
children oncological orthopedics use is made of expensive
high-technology endoprosthetises made to order. Not every
family has the financial possibility to pay for such treatment. In such situations the
Whole World CF comes to the
rescue to little patients in big
trouble.
The results presented in this
report became possible due
to the self-sacrificing and
hard work of the entire team
of the Whole World Charitable Fund. In 2013 effective
and lifesaving assistance was
rendered to 17 children with
oncological diseases.

Whom we helped in 2013
Olga Pastukhova
1 15 years
Pervouralsk
Raised: 600,000 rubles
Since birth Olya Pastukhova
has lacked the elbow joint
,
and fingers
on her right hand;
the muscles responsible for the elbow movement were
wrongly formed. To reconstruct the arm it was necessary to install an endoprosthesis which the girl’s parents
could not pay for.
«
»
The Whole World CF jointly
»
with the Little Country CF
raised the necessary money
for her treatment. During the
surgery a ten-centimeter section of the bone was removed
.
and an endoprosthesis was
installed in the place. The
second stage of the surgery
involved connection of the
muscle tendons which will
subsequently move the joint
to the endoprosthesis. The
complicated and meticulous
work of forming the elbow
joint took the surgeons more
than five hours.
Now the most complicated period has started in Olya’s life
because she needs to learn to
move her arm and to bend it.
Learning these skills may take
several months and will require help of many rehabilitation specialists. We hope that
she will cope with it and we
wish her good luck!

to walk again! Just a year
ago I could not imagine that I
would be able just to walk .
without crutches and to walk
with my friends. A simple tripby metro was a real event
for me after my discharge
from the hospital. While
at the hospital I would
often have a dream that there
was no disease and I was just
walking in the street. When
there is no trouble, you do
not feel what happiness it is.
Then I would wake up, tell
my mother about the dream,
and she supported me and said
that everything would be like
that, that I just was to wait
and learn to walk.
Thanks to everybody who
helped me at the hard time and
said that all was not lost. All
the guys with whom I stayed in
the hospital became my frieds

together and just wanted to
be happy. And thank you very

Kazakhstan
Raised:: 350,000 rubles
In the late 2012 Elina fell
on her arm and had a fissure
,
fracture.
After a visit to the
oncologist and some analy- ses it turned out that a malignant tumor had destroyed
the entire radial bone in the
growth zone. The reanalyses
made in Saint Petersburg revealed that the tumor was
«
quite rare and
very aggres- »
sive. Within such a short pe»
riod there already appeared
metastatic foci in the lungs,
and urgent hospitalization
was necessary to perform
chemotherapy and a surgery

to remove the tumor and to
implant in future.

During 2013 owing to the aid
of the Whole World International Charitable Fund Elina
had several courses of chemotherapy, had an operation
to remove the tumor and to
