from Childhood to Fulfilled Adulthood
Nursery - Early Education - Primary School - Childcare Service
Saint Ultans is the only project in Ireland to approach education and
care with an integrated and holistic approach through a wraparound
service on one campus.
We are working to achieve the following high level goals:
■ To provide an early intervention service for children from Cherry
Orchard that will meet their emotional, physical and spiritual needs
■ To meet the often complex needs of children from Cherry Orchard
by providing an integrated pre-school, Primary School and out of
school care service
■ To maintain, insofar as is appropriate and possible, children in their
families and communities
■ To contribute to learning by pioneering the Community School
Model in Ireland and disseminating the learning to local
stakeholders, policy-makers and participators
Our aim is to ensure that on completion of their time in Saint Ultan’s the
children will have the ethics, values and life skills to engage with, and
contribute to, their family and wider community. This is achieved by
delivering the following wrap around services in one setting:

Nursery facilities for babies and Toddlers
Early childhood care and education for pre-school children
Vertical Co-Educational Primary School
A supportive care service operating before, during and after school
Facilities for full Meal service to all children.
The project is widely recognised by various Government Departments and
Dublin City Council as providing a model for the delivery of integrated
services.

The Friends of Saint Ultans
The aim of the Friends of Saint Ultans is to help make
this project a success. We feel that this can be best
achieved by getting local businesses involved in
supporting
1. Individual projects that otherwise would not be
funded,
2. Overall costs of providing an integrated service.
