I understand “Weird Al” Yankovic actually
wrote a “Two of Hearts” parody song called
“Two Pop-Tarts” but it was never released.
Have you ever heard the song? Do you think it
will ever be released?
We were speaking with Al in the beginning and I
remember hearing little bits of it. He actually came
out and watched the video shoot for ‘Two of
Hearts’ and came to the live show. He was a very
nice man. At the time, someone else was releasing
another version of ‘Two of Hearts’ and that kept
him from releasing his parody.
You were not a big fan of your drag name
‘Savannah’. Which drag name would you have
preferred?
(Laughs) I don’t know! Probably something with
profanity in it. Probably something that I cannot
say!
Although Carmen did a great job as your
instructor, if you had the choice of any “RuPaul’s
Drag Race” star to teach you the magic of drag,
who would it have been?
I am a big fan of Carmen, but if i had to pick it
would be Shannel who is just a master
at makeovers. She is really at the top of
the game as far as what drag queens do!
Her makeup is just excellent. Morgan
McMichaels is great, too. She actually
introduced me before a performance at
House of Blues. So if I had to pick, it would
pick one of them.
‘’Drag U’’ was not your first television
appearance. You have also appeared on
“Hollywood Squares”, “Mama’s Family”,
and “Facts of Life”. Were there any other
television shows?
I don’t think there were too many others.
Just tons and tons of interviews and game
shows, both domestically and internationally.
Of all the television appearances and
cameos you have done, do you have a
favorite?
You were recently featured with fellow 80’s pop
culture icons Downtown Julie Brown and Jane
Wiedlin of the Go-Go’s on “RuPaul’s Drag U”.
How did you get accepted into the University?
You have to take an exam. I don’t know if you
knew that or not, but you take a written exam at
home and send in your answers. It was actually
a very difficult test! All essay questions that you
couldn’t just answer with a simple “Yes” or “No”.
That, and a good agent!
What was your experience on “Drag U” like?
(Laughs) It was very difficult! I don’t know if you
know anything about how they shoot the show,
but it was two very long, grueling days full of dressup and dance rehearsals. It was really quite difficult
and I was pooped afterward--not just exhausted!
But I really loved doing the show! I love Jane and
Julie. I had not seen them in a really long time! I
hadn’t seen Toni Basil or Ru in a long time either!
It was really wonderful!

I do have to say my favorite, and this is
probably purely an ego thing, but I liked the
second episode I did on “Facts of Life” when
George Clooney’s character leaves the show as my
Roadie.
Your character Cinnamon on ‘Facts of Life’ falls
in love and runs away with a fresh-faced George
Clooney. Was there any real life romance on
the set? Are the two of you still in touch?
Now when I watch it, and I don’t do it often, but
this last time when I watched the episode, I was like
“Oh my gosh, George Clooney has his arm around
me! He is looking right at me and he just touched
me!” I had no idea he would be such a big star!
If you would have had the chance to play one of
the other characters on the show (Tootie, Blair,
Jo, Natalie, even Mrs. Garrett!), who would you
picked and why?
You are going to kill me, but I would pick George
(George Clooney’s character). Maybe it would
have rubbed off and then I would be starring in
every major movie ever made!
