The American Artists Professional League, Inc. was organizeu in 1928 to help the
artists of the country solve their professional problems. It has a long record Of COnstructive help, such as setting standards of quality for pigments, promoting COmPetent
understandable art, American Art Week, eta.

our League has over eight hundred members throughout the United States... men
and women who have dedicated themselves to the highest professional standards of
beauty, integrity and craftsmanship.
There are three kinds Of membership: Artist, Fellow and Patron.
Artist members are those who have been approved by the Membership
Committee of the National Board of Directors.
Felloivs are our top-ranking active members. Everyone who shows in Our
Grand National Exhibition automatically becomes a Fellow.
patrons are non-artists who consider our high objectives worthy of backing
and would like to make a donation to our efforts. Coherent fine art urgently
needs the solid support of American art patrons.
