Whether it’s bold jewelry paired with a plain T-shirt or a modern twist on vintage Hollywood, RaeLynn’s style reflects her fun-loving personality, willingness to step out of the box and her confidence in who she is. “The beauty is that every woman is uniquely and beautifully different,” RaeLynn says while getting her hair and makeup styled for a shoot at Leigh, Edwards & Co. in Nashville. “My style is a reflection of my personality. My hair is shorter now. I love a lot of fun colors and the pop of a red lip.” RaeLynn relies on celebrity stylist and salon owner Amanda Craig— whose clients include Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge and Miranda Lambert, among others—to help her create hair and makeup looks that complement her style and are easy to accomplish at home or on the road. “I love the half-up, halfdown look because it really doesn’t take any time and is versatile,” says RaeLynn. “Whether I have to get up super-early or I’m running to a meeting or I’m on a date with Josh, this is a cute, super-easy look. When I can’t get my part to do what I need it to do, I throw it up in a messy bun.” Amanda prepped RaeLynn’s damp hair with Redken Satinwear 02 hair protectant and then roughlook with a simple eye, natdried it with a hair dryer. For a modern twist on RaeLynn’s love of oldHollywood glamour, Amanda created a sleek look that is perfect for a date or an event. Amanda parted Rae’s hair with a really strong part so that she could place the curls appropriately. She sprayed each section with Shu Uemura finishing spray, which works as a hair protectant against heat. Using a two-inch curling iron, she curled 12 sections of hair, pinning each of them separately to set the curl. After the hair cooled, she took all of the pins out and, using a mason brush, brushed through RaeLynn’s hair. She used her hands to define the glam wave while brushing through her hair, and added Redken Diamond oil for additional shine.
