The positive reviews keep pouring in for the HP ProLiant MicroServer and
PS1810 switch, the latest is from SmallBizTrends. The reviewer, TJ
McCue calls the pairing, “ideal for first timers,” and goes on to note that,
“the HP ProLiant MicroServer is a must-consider product” for those who

tested the unit in several relevant workload and industry vertical
deployment scenarios. In conclusion, “the HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8
is the best performing, and without a doubt, the best value, entry-level
server you can buy.”
GeekZone mentioned that the HP MicroServer Gen8 “is the kind of
hardware that can - and will - help businesses leverage technology with a
low cost investment in ongoing administration resources.”
Neowin.net posted their review of the HP PS1810 switch, awarding it a
9/10 rating. “HP’s looking to up the game by offering a reasonably priced
managed switch that works hand-in-hand with the latest MicroServer and
we think they have a winner on their hands.”
SmallNetBuilder found the PS1810 switch to be solid all-around, noting
that it was easy to set up, easy to use, and provided a great deal of
functionality. One thing that blew him away was the warranty, and he
noted that competitive offerings from Cisco and Netgear didn’t come
