Our returning here’s some new champions challengers Micah Solusod, Voice Over Artist Patrick Seitz, Voice Over Artist Micah Solusod is a fairly new voice actor in the world of anime. He made his debut in 2009 playing Malek Werner in Blassreiter and Soul Evans in Soul Eater shortly after. Since then, Micah has moved on to provide voices for a number of characters in other FUNimation titles such as Tsutomu Senkawa in Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Kamui and Subaru in Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations, Haruki Hishida in Rideback, Ushijima Hiroshige in Corpse Princess, Nika Lobanov in Darker Than Black II, and more. It beggars belief, but thanks to having spent the last decade and counting as a voiceover actor, script adapter and ADR director for well over 100 anime series and video games, Patrick Seitz is easily more of a nerd now than ever he was. His anime roles include Germany in Hetalia, Sky High in Tiger & Bunny, Simon in Durarara, Laxus in Fairy Tail, Sloth in FMA: Brotherhood, JP in Redline, and Agni in Black Butler. On the gaming side of the ledger, you can hear Patrick as Ragna in the BlazBlue franchise, Scorpion in the last few Mortal Kombat titles, Fenrich in Disgaea 4, Cervantes in SoulCalibur V, Bob and Hugo in Street Fighter X Tekken, and a bevy of demonic horrors in Diablo 3. On the days he’s not trapped in a dark padded room Micah works as a freelance illustrator and is the lead artist for Painapple Teriyaki. For more information about his voice work and art visit http:// www.micahsolusod.com. When we can get him to shut up, Patrick works as a script-adapter and VO director as well, having adapted portions of Hellsing Ultimate, Princess Jellyfish, Sengoku Basara, and all of Summer Wars, to name just a few. His directing credits include Monster and Girls Bravo, the latter of which he also got to adapt. Greg Wicker, Game Show Host Caitlin Glass, Voice Over Artist Greg Wicker (or “Greggo” as he’s fondly known) has been producing and hosting game shows at anime conventions since 1999, when he premiered Anime Match Game at Project A-Kon in Dallas. Since then, Greggo has done anime-themed versions of several classic game shows, created a few games of his own, and even had an original project that very nearly turned into an actual television show on Anime Network. These days Greggo is concentrating on perfecting his craft and making game shows available for conventions everywhere, bringing his rapier wit and friendly personality with him wherever he goes. A voice actress and ADR director, best known for the role of Winry Rockbell in Fullmetal Alchemist, Caitlin has been working in the anime industry since 2004. Most recently Caitlin has played Magnolia in Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing, Momochi in Level E, Saras in Is This a Zombie?, Bel Peol in Shana, Phryne in Fractale, and Yoshie in Shiki, among many others. Caitlin has also voiced Cammy in the Street Fighter IV series of video games, and Aya in Infinite Undiscovery. 4 Hamacon Huntsville and Madison anime convention This Caitlin’s first Hamacon and her first visit to Alabama. She can’t wait to meet all of you and make some wonderful new memories! You can follow her on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Caitlin-Glass-Voice-Actor/263871894638 and @caitlinsvoice on Twitter. hama-con.com hamacon.tumblr.com twitter.com/hamatweets www.facebook.com/pages/Hamacon/315680891844198 guests guests You can see some of Greggo’s past game show efforts on his YouTube page at http://www.youtube.com/gregdasgo or visit his website at http:// www.facebook.com/greggosgameshows. In 2008, Caitlin directed the widely popular fanfavorite, Ouran High School Host Club, as well as playing Haruhi Fujioka. Other directing credits include Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Suzuka and FUNimation’s One Piece. the industry most dangerous guest and the panelists Carl Gustav Horn, Manga Editor Gerald Rathkolb, Featured Panelist Carl Gustav Horn has written professionally on anime since 1993 and has been a manga editor since 1997, beginning with Yoshiyuki Sadamoto’s Neon Genesis Evangelion, the first English-language manga series to be published in right-to-left format. A former assistant editor at Animerica magazine and manga editor of PULP magazine at Viz Media, he is the co-author with Patrick Macias, Yuji Oniki, and Mason Jones of Japan Edge, and has provided commentary on the field to American and Japanese sources including Newsweek, The Los Angeles Times, WIRED, National Public Radio, the Pacific Film Archive, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, AERA, Studio Voice, and Comic Morning. Ever since watching Robotech as a young lad, Acclaimed Anime Gentleman Gerald Rathkolb has made anime a far bigger part of his life than it ought to be, made worse by the fact that he’s a co-host of the award-winning Anime World Order Podcast. Gerald was also one of the crack team specialists tapped to contribute to the Royal Space Force 25th Anniversary Fanzine that was edited and assembled by one Carl Gustav Horn. He’s hosted dozens of panels over too many years on subjects ranging from giant robots, to directors, to ridiculously obscure minutiae. A lover of all kinds of anime genres, he hopes to spread the knowledge of good anime to all those who wish to hear it. He is currently an editor at Dark Horse Comics, where his titles include Yoshitaka Amano’s Deva Zan, the CLAMP omnibus program (Clover, Chobits, Cardcaptor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, Angelic Layer and Tokyo Babylon), Oh My Goddess!, Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project, and The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service. Daryl Surat, Featured Panelist Clarissa Graffeo, Featured Panelist Clarissa Graffeo is one-third of the Anime World Order podcast and a contributing writer for Otaku USA magazine. A fan of anime and manga for over 10 years, she has run numerous panels at East coast conventions both alone and with her fellow AWO hosts, on a variety of topics ranging from yaoi to figure collecting and building plastic model kits. In both the podcast and convention panels, she attempts to balance detailed discussions of individual works and the industry with accessibility to new viewers, and is hopefully successful at least some of the time. Daryl’s panels focus on showcasing multiple titles by way of [hopefully] humorous and [possibly] educational brief video clips and commentary. 4 Hamacon Huntsville and Madison anime convention She is also beginning to branch out into academic work on anime and manga, currently completing a Masters degree with a manga-related thesis topic and work in progress on articles for conference and journal publication. hama-con.com hamacon.tumblr.com twitter.com/hamatweets www.facebook.com/pages/Hamacon/315680891844198 guests guests Daryl Surat is a writer for Otaku USA Magazine and co-host of the award-winning Anime World Order podcast. With over 20 years of watching anime and 10 years of running panels at anime conventions, Daryl has spent most of his life acquiring outlandish media and trivial information instead of learning the basic tenets of human interaction. Joke’s on him, since now all that media and information can be instantly acquired online! But with so much out there to choose from, it’s getting harder to narrow down an answer to “what should I watch next?” Currently he spends his time as an editor on the upcoming Skin Crawling comic book anthology, to be published later this year. cosplay and comedy pretty much the same thing Envel, Cosplay Guest Judge Laugh Out Loud, Improv Comedy Troupe In case you didn’t get a chance to meet this totally awesome and amazing cosplayer, she has agreed to join us again for Hamacon 2013! That video flooded with likes and comments of thanks for inspiration. It was those comments that prompted Cosfl uff’s founder to take to conventions and begin running a panel all about it. The three heads of this group, Panda and Radiance Murphy and Caroline Aberthany hold the belief that cosplay should be for all no matter one’s size,g ender, or race.
