In Country Radio:
B-94.5, Orlando, two years
Rooster Country 107, Jacksonville, six years
KiiM-FM 99.5, Tucson, thirteen years
I have been involved in assisting sister stations in Florida, Ohio, Alabama,
Iowa and Nevada, to expand the country music brands of those stations.
As Program Director for KiiM-FM, I have helped introduce countless new
artists to the Tucson country audience over the years – through
appearances, concerts, charity events, etc.
I use social media to broaden my personal brand, promote my show to
listeners, and promote the station to people who might not have otherwise
sampled the format.
Industry Involvement:
Nominee, CMA Medium Market Broadcast Award, 2007, 2011
Nominee, ACM Medium Market Broadcast Award, 2005
Winner, ACM Medium Market Broadcast Award, 2009
One of RadioINK’s top-20 Country Program Directors, 2011
Member: Country Music Association, Academy Of Country Music
Spoke at a seminar for country radio programmers and staff hosted by the
Navajo Nation’s radio station in Phoenix.
Country Radio Philosophy:
! I believe that what’s between the songs make the difference. It’s possible
to be true to the values of country music and a heritage station like KiiMFM, while still having fun on the radio. Listeners should feel like their time
spent with KiiM-FM was valuable in some way or another. I am personally
committed to live and local radio where possible. I expect my staff to be
active in our community, and I lead by example.
