Abstract:
The present research aims to recognizing on Effect of Dick and Carey
Model on acquiring the Geographical concepts by 5th primary class pupils ,
To achieve the aim of the research , we put the null hypothesis which assume
that there is no statistically significant difference between the experimental
group which will be taught by the model of Dick and Carey, and the control
group which will be taught by thetraditional method , The research's sample
consiss of (62) pupils , the researcher choose them deliberately from the
society of the research, distributing them into (30) pupils in the experimental
group, and (32) pupils in the control group The researcher equalizes between
these two groups in some variables like (age (in months), level of education
inthe subject of sociology in the 4th class , the intelligence test, and
educational leve for the parents), The researcher has prepared a test for
acquiring the concepts of (30) items , and achieved its validity and stability
after applying it on the sample of the research Analyzing the results
statistically.
Showed that the experimental group which studied by model of Dick and
Carey superiority in acquiring the geographic concepts.
In the light of results and conclusions, the researcher presents anumber of the
recommendations and proposals such as:The necessity of using educational
samples in teaching the concepts to gaining them by the teachers, especially
the Model of Dick and Carey which has proved its efficiency through this
research besides the traditional method, and conducting a study to know the
effect of dick and Carey' Model in acquiring the Geographical concepts by 5th
primary class pupils.
