How Social Media has Revolutionized How We Drive Traffic to Our Farm. Chris Eckert, Eckerts Orchard, Belleville, IL
We are dependent on destination traffic to our farm each season to be successful. Traditional forms of media such as print, radio
and TV have been the focus of our media plan for decades. Starting in the mid 2000’s, we noticed that spending more dollars
on these forms of media was no longer generating more traffic. Three years ago, we started transitioning our media plan into
digital forms such as Facebook and Twitter. Since then we have transformed our entire media strategy to these new formats. Join me for a discussion of this transition, the success strategies we have uncovered, and the digital media formats that have
proven effective for our farm market.
