Rules
Weight Categories: Under 90KG / Over 90KG
DAY 1
Giant Dumbell / Yoke Press / Barbell Clean and Press Medley
Rules for Giant Dumbell Press (For Reps)
Athletes compete 2 at a time
Standard dumbbell taken from the floor and press 3 times, with one arm. Then on to the yoke press
3 times. Then finally the barbell is cleaned and pressed overhead also for three lifts
The athlete must wait for the judges “good” signal before lowering the dumbbell/yoke to make it count.
A ‘good’ lift
Dumbell - Only ONE hand is allowed to clean and press the dumbbell. The other hand must not come
into contact with any part of the lifting arm, hand or dumbbell. Athlete may press, push press, or push jerk the
dumbbell overhead to lockout. The arm must lock out with the weight under control. Legs and feet must be
stationary. The weight must touch the floor between each lift.
Yoke - The yoke MUST be a 2 hand grip of the bar and pressed overhead to lockout. The arm must lock
out with the weight under control. Legs and feet must be stationary. The weight is placed back to the floor
between each lift.
Barbell - The athlete addresses the bar and cleans the weight to the chest, and then proceeds to press the
bar overhead. A sumo or split stance press will be allowed. The weight must be returned to the ground under
control between each lift
The winner is the athlete who completes all 9 lifts in the fastest time or the most lifts to order.
A given amount of time 3.30 mins to completes all 9 lifts.
Weight for the UNDER 90KG: 40KG dumbbell , Yoke 70kg, Barbell 80kg
OVER 90KG: 45KG dumbbell Yoke 90kg, Barbell 90kg
One chance only
Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, knee wraps, wrist wraps, and elbow sleeves.
Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, elbow wraps, lifting straps or hooks, gloves.
Any and all anatomical limitations preventing lockout as described above must be demonstrated to the
judge prior to the start of the event. This is solely the responsibility of the athlete.
Vehicle Pull
Rules for Vehicle Pull
Athletes compete singly.
1 attempts for the best time or distance.
Time limit 3.00mins to complete the course.
IronMind pulling harnesses are the standard.
The staff member taking up the slack must be at least 3ft from the athlete and 45 degrees to the right or left of the
athlete and making sure the slack is not getting under the wheels of the vehicle in any way.
The front bumper of the vehicle will start on the line.
Time stops when the front bumper crosses the finish, otherwise distance will be recorded from the starting line to
the front bumper.
Same vehicle for UNDER 90KG and OVER 90KG
Equipment Allowed: belt, chalk, knee wraps or sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves & climbing shoes.
Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, gloves.
Course length 25metres

Farmers Walk
Rules for Farmers Walk
Athletes compete 2 at a time
1 attempts for the best time.
Competitor carries a weight in each hand over a marked course as quickly as possible
Course length is a total of 50 metres, a walk of 25metres drop handles turn 180° and walk 25 metres back.
No excessive sliding will be permitted.
Time limit 3.00mins to complete the course.
Both handles with weight must cross the finish line.
Fastest time wins
Weight for the UNDER 90KG: 80KG each hand
OVER 90KG: 90KG each hand
Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, knee wraps, sleeves or wrist wraps.
Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, lifting straps or hooks, gloves.

Rules for Floor to overhead Log lift (For Reps)
Athletes compete 2 at a time.
From floor to clean and press
The winner is the athlete who lifts the most reps
Athlete may press, push press, push jerk or split jerk the log overhead to a locked out position.
Athlete must wait for the “Good” down signal to get a good lift.
The athlete must lower the log under control to the floor. No deliberate dropping of the log will be permitted.
The athlete may forfeit his attempt in doing so.
Good Lift: Log locked out under control overhead with arms straight, head thru, legs and feet parallel and stationary.
Weight for UNDER 90KG will be 80kg and OVER 90KG will be 90kg.
Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee wraps or sleeves.
Equipment NOT allowed: any item placed within the belt to provide a “shelf”, tacky, elbow wraps, gloves.
Any and all anatomical limitations preventing a lockout as described above must be demonstrated to the judges
prior to the start of the event. This is solely the responsibility of the athlete.
Carry & Drag (Weighted Bar, Sandbags & Sled)
Rules for Carry & Drag
Athletes compete 2 at a time.
The Athletes carry a weighted bar only using the handle between there legs (duck walk) a set distance 25metres
which the weighted must be placed over the 25metre marked line. Then run back to start line and carry a sandbag (one)
take to 25metre line then run back to start line and carry a another sandbag (two) take to 25metre line. They then drag a
sled a further set distance 25metres the sled must cross the finish line.
Fastest time wins.
Weight for the UNDER 90KG weighted bar 108kg sandbag one 45KG Sandbag two 55KG and Sled 110KG
Weight for the OVER 90KG weighted bar 118kg sandbag one 55KG Sandbag two 65KG and Sled 130KG
Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, knee wraps or sleeves, wrist wraps.
Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, elbow sleeves, gloves

DAY 2
The Tyre & Hay Flip
Rules for Tyre & Hay Flip
Athletes compete 2 at a time.
Athletes must flip a roll of hay 25 meters down course crossing the line and then flip a tyre 25meters back to the
finish line. The complete tyre must cross the finish line.
Roll of Hay 250KG
Tyre weight 90KG
Time limit 3.00mins to compete the course.
Fastest time wins.
Same Tyre & Hay Roll for UNDER 90KG and OVER 90KG
Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, knee wraps or sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves.
Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, gloves
Arm Over Arm Pull
Rules for Arm Over Arm Pull
Athletes compete singly.
1 attempts for the best time or distance.
The athlete may start in the standing position. But once the first initial pull is done the athlete must stay in the
seated position throughout the attempt.
The staff member taking up the slack must be at least 3ft from the athlete and 45 degrees to the right or left of the
athlete.
The front bumper of the vehicle will start on the line.
Time stops when the front bumper crosses the finish, otherwise distance will be recorded from the starting line to
the front bumper.
Time limit 3.00mins to compete the course.
Course length 25metres
Vehicles Weight approx. 2000kg
Same vehicle for UNDER 90KG and OVER 90KG
Fastest time wins.

Stones of Strength (For Reps)
Rules for Stones Of Strength (For Reps)
Athletes compete 2 at a time
Competitor must lift a weighted barrel / stone using two hands up and over a set bar. The stone must go over the
bar and land the other side to count for one rep. Then the stone will be rolled back to the athlete for next lift.
The competitor must wait for the judges say “good” signal before starting next lift.
Good Lift: The athlete grips the stone with two hands lift using knees up to waist and push stone over the bar, the
stone can hit the bar and can be used to help stone go over.
The winner is the athlete who completes the most lifts (reps) in a given amount of time 1.15mins
Weight for the UNDER 90KG 80KG Stone OVER 90KG 90KG Stone
Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, knee wraps, wrist wraps, and elbow sleeves.
Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, elbow wraps, lifting straps or hooks, gloves.

Dead Lift (For MAX weight)
Rules for Dead Lift (For MAX Weight)
Athletes compete singly.
5 attempts to get to your max weight, so you must be strategic
Most weight lifted wins.
Standard Olympic bar 20kg will be used.
Conventional stance ONLY allowed. Hands must be outside of knees throughout the lift.
Hitching is allowed.
Good Lift: Athlete must lift the barbell to a standing position with head up, shoulders back, legs and feet in line.
Once the signal is given for the lift the athlete must return the bar to the floor under control.
NO DROPPING OF THE BAR WILL BE ALLOWED.
The athlete may put baby powder or water on the legs to reduce friction however the athlete should clean the bar
after his attempt and before the next competitor. Vaseline, baby oil, or similar product may NOT be used on the legs
to reduce friction.
Starting weight for UNDER 90KG and OVER 90KG will be150kg increasing by 10Kg per lift to a total of 320Kg
Equipment allowed: belt, chalk, knee wraps or sleeves, lifting straps, supportive suits, gloves.
Equipment NOT allowed: tacky or similar product, lifting hooks.
