1. Lockdown Mode via Motorola AppCenter mobile software • AppCenter allows an Admin to lockdown the device so that only selected software applications can run. • Losing the password will make the device inoperable for any future changes. • AppCenter blocks docked syncing, thus wireless sync is the primary sync mode. A. Without AppCenter, employees have access to the Start screen (left) and full device functionality. They can easily load and run personal applications such as games or surf the Internet instead of remaining on task during work hours. B. With AppCenter, workers no longer have access to the Start screen. Instead, they see only those applications that are pertinent to their job. And unlike other lockdown solutions, AppCenter enables you to select which status icons are displayed — and whether employees can control the associated device functionality. C. The AppCenter Administration Utility allows the creation of a customized taskbar that includes status icons, even if the Start menu is suppressed.
