Radnee who is co-owner of Aim Mail is ready to help customers with their packaging needs.
Holiday shipping season means
hectic days for AIM Mail Center
By SCOTT KEITH
A
new visitor to Aim Mail Center at
Progress Ridge TownSquare in
Beaverton will notice a lot more
than packaging and mailing services. It’s a full-service store that offers everything from fax and notary services to
plush toys, candles, incense cones and hats.
For owner/operator Radnee Kadam, the
holidays keep the business hopping as folks
send their cards and packages to friends and
relatives throughout the country.
“This is the busiest time of the year for us,”
Kadam said, stressing that people need to
mail their Christmas packages early to make
sure they arrive on time.
And as customers bring in their cards and
packages, they have the opportunity to glance
at the wide range of gift items in the store -many of them great choices for holiday gifts.
“This is a one-of-a-kind store,” she said,
pointing out that you’ll find, among other
items, scarves, bags, jewelry and gift cards.
In addition to gifts, Aim Mail Center offers
more traditional services, such as passport
photo services, fax service, document shredding, freight services, media transfers, office
supplies, gift cards, greeting cards, lamination, rubber stamps and business cards. Notary and fax services are among the most
popular. Aim Mail Center also provides shipping, packing, moving supplies, U.S. Postal

services, full-color printing, high-speed copying, document management, promotional
products, productivity tools and private mailboxes.
Kadam likes to say that unlike service
counters at major carriers, Aim Mail Center
offers a price comparison for UPS shipping,
FedEx shipping and USPS shipping.
In between providing all of these services,
she is getting to know the Progress Ridge
community.
“It’s a very good location,” Kadam said. “We
have lots of regular customers.” Although the
Christmas season has them busy now, she
added that Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day
also keeps the center quite busy.
For people who are new to the community,
Kadam encourages people o drop by Aim Mail
Center and discover their many services.
“They can buy stuff, they can ship it or keep
it if they want it,” Kadam said, noting that
first-time visitors notice there’s a lot more
than mail services.
“This is like one-stop shopping,” she said.

Cinema with a twist of luxury
Cinetopia brings the ultimate movie-watching experience to Beaverton
For an “entry level”
experience, viewers can sit
in the Grand Auditorium.
By SCOTT KEITH
F
or movie buffs who want to kick
up their movie viewing experience to the next level, a visit
to Cinetopia at Progress Ridge
TownSquare is in order.
For affordable prices, viewers are
treated to the latest Hollywood releases,
state-of-the-art theatrical amenities, and
in a setting that’s as comfortable as if you
were lounging at home in your favorite
chair.
“There are several entertainment options under one roof,” owner Rudyard
Coltman said. “We’ve designed each of
four different theater offerings to greatly
exceed what you could get at other movie
theaters.”
Among the offerings are Living Room
Theaters, which are becoming popular at
the Beaverton movie center. For the over
21-crowd, these theaters have private box
seating. There are

able and waiters
– Rudyard Coltman will bring food to
your seat. There’s
also digital 7.1 sound, super HD projection and luxury skybox seating.
GXL theaters are another option. In
theater 5, viewers watch movies on a giant 70-foot screen and relax with extrawide rows and ultra leather seats. As
with theater 5, GXL theater 6 has 4K Super HD projection.
For an “entry level” experience, viewers can sit in the Grand Auditorium,
where they will find steeper stadium
seating, extra-wide rows and extra-wide
reclining ultra-leather seats.
Once a person has selected their seat,
Cinetopia offers a theater concession
chip cookies, brownies and seven-layer
bars.
“It’s like a little mini bakery,” Coltman
added. “I think more and more people are
appreciating things that are natural and
made from scratch.”
Don’t worry, they still have popcorn,
but at Cinetopia, the kernels can be drizzled with gourmet butters, which include
hazelnut and garlic butter.
“We’ll do butters that are themed to
movies, like rum butter for Pirates of the
Caribbean,” Coltman added.
Despite the bells and whistles, Cinetopia remains affordable, even if people decide to bring their kids.
“No matter what theater you’re in
– kids are only $6.50,” Coltman said.
“When you factor in your whole evening,
it really is a dinner (Vinotopia) and a
movie made easy. It’s all in one place and
all under one roof.”
etcetera...
n Every Saturday, including the Saturday after Christmas, five members from
the Portland Opera will perform Christmas carols throughout the building.
n Enjoy two 25-foot tall Christmas trees.

goodies – a far cry from traditional
stands that offer high-priced candy and
the standard buttered popcorn.

Coltman said. “They take a lot of pride in
creating quite an assortment of unique
items.”
