PROI`s european network
PROI’s european network
public relations organisation international inc. (PROI )
is the oldest and largest global partnership of independent public relations
firms serving clients around the world. We have created this brochure
in order to showcase in detail the added value of relying on a network
of independent partner agencies that can boast the best PR companies
in their respective countries. As you will scroll through the short company
profiles of our members, you will quickly understand how our partner
firms are either the leading or one of the top firms within their market.
With fee billings of US$285+ million, more than 3,000 clients, and
2,000+ consultants, PROI adds value – for both clients and the partners
it represents. Even though PROI is a global network spanning some
85+ cities around the world, this brochure only covers PROI partners
in Europe, where the network was founded in 1970.

Established in 1994, KK has been assisting clients to navigate Danish
markets for long enough to understand where success goes to 'get
in out of the cold'. One of the things that has always helped warm
the hearts of Danish investors is environmentally friendly solutions
to big business opportunities. KK’s work with both the Danish
National Boards of Health and Energy has ensured just that.
Scandinavian countries have often played the role of Europe’s
environmental conscience (or at least role model) and KK knows the
importance of such matters to the region. It also harbours no illusions
about the importance of profit margins, however. KK has combined
its local knowledge with extensive international networks such as
PROI to offer real global solutions to clients wishing to enter
Denmark’s economic scene with sustained success.

competence communications
What’s in a name? In the case of Competence Communications,
pretty much everything! It has grown into Finland’s largest
independent PR agency, which implies that competence comes
as second nature to all 20 of its permanent expert staff. In a country
with the lowest population density in the EU, it is arguable that
well planned and competent PR and communications are
the most important aspect in the navigation of its markets. Finland’s
comparatively low concentration of natural resources has made
trade and IT two of the most essential components of its
marketplace. It is in these areas that Competence Communications
has come to excel over the years and is further testament to the
understanding of the nature of its homeland’s market environment
made available to its clients. It is this essential local know-how that
makes Competence Communications a fundamental member
of PROI’s partner network.

companies in Malta, namely Market Intelligence Services Company

joined forces in order to benefit from the synergies created by
grouping their different areas of specialisation. This guarantees the

This reality has also brought about the need for more comprehensive

This year marks 30 years of success for Van Luyken Communicatie
Adviseurs. Founded in 1978 as Van Luyken Public Relations, the
firm soon expanded and re-branded as Van Luyken PR & PA
Consultants. Further expansion brought a further name change
to Communicatie Adviseurs, as the company is known today. Van
Luyken Communicatie Adviseurs has seen much more than name
changes in its considerable tenure. As a fledgling company,
it witnessed the first ever European Parliamentary elections in 1979
and all the subsequent expansions the EU has seen since. As this
dizzying array of new markets opened and began integrating into
the expanding European Union, they began steadily building an
impressive client base, most of whom have remained loyal. With
roots firmly planted in trust, these clients will still be there as the
Union expands further. This sustained and ever-expanding clientbase demonstrates the company's clear understanding not only of
their home environment but of Europe as a whole.

mikhailov & partners
It is not often that the world sees a country with the population,
manufacturing base, natural resources and education system of the
magnitude of Russia go through a complete restructuring of its
economic system. Yet this was the situation in his homeland when
Sergei Mikhailov launched Mikhailov & Partners in 1993. A market
economy of huge proportions was in the making, and with it all the
possibilities that these new markets had in store. With the first round
of privatisation under way, Russia’s emerging private business world
found itself in need of professional PR guidance, as Russian society
as a whole came to grips with this dramatic situation. Years later,
as Russia continues to re-define itself on the world stage, M&P is
well ahead of schedule. It has grown into the leading PR firm in the
country, with more than 600 completed communication campaigns
on its CV. The company's client base has come to include some of
the largest corporations in the world and will only grow as Russia
catches on to Sergei Mikhailov’s innovative way of thinking. With
Russia’s economic landscape firmly wed to that of Europe’s, M&P
will continue to be an essential component in PROI’s partner network.

EU institutions. As the EU continues to expand, as well as strengthen
its internal economic prowess, experienced PR on the ground in
Switzerland also grows in importance.
