Why is Proper Sizing So Important?
It is important to know that the size of the product is not directly related to the amount it can absorb.
If the product selected is too large, it will not fit close to the body. The wearer may experience leakage,
product sagging, skin irritation and loss of dignity. A properly-fitting absorbent product will encourage fluid
to absorb evenly, will help prevent leakage and be more comfortable to wear.

Which is more Important... Price only or Total Cost-in-use Performance?
The wetness indicator is a guide to indicate that the individual has passed urine and it should be
monitored. However this does not mean the product is “full”. There is still adequate absorbent capacity
left in the product to help maintain dryness for extended wear situations like car travel or to allow for
a few extra hours of restorative, undisturbed sleep. If a bowel movement is present, the product should
always be changed right away.
Nighttime “multi-void” products contain added absorbency and are designed to keep an individual dry
and comfortable over longer periods of time, especially at night to promote undisturbed sleep. Proper
rest helps incontinent individuals be more alert in the daytime and more able to participate in the
activities they enjoy.
The trend in today’s economic environment is to purchase the lowest price-per-piece product. While on
the surface this may appear to be the most economical solution, in reality it often results in higher daily
