The girl’s 2014-15 club season is almost here! Sky High Volleyball offers two divisions, Junior Olympic (most competitive)
and Regional (shorter season) teams for training & competition. Below you will find the tryout dates and times. Please
note we are offering teams in Crystal Lake, Hoffman Estates, Lake Barrington, Palatine N E W and Vernon Hills.

*All Multi-Sport athletes must submit their (school sport) practice & competition schedules to their respective club coach. Please note: No Setter, 15's, 16's, 17's or 18's may set a 5-1 on a JO team if they play a SPRING sport.
**Roster limit in these age groups/divisions is 11, however our target is 10.
Junior Olympic
All Girls Must Register with USA Volleyball Prior to Club Tryouts!
Junior Olympic teams will practice two (11/12/13) or three (14/15/16/17/18) times per week,
compete in two or three tournaments per month with the season ending mid to late June.
The 10’s will also practice two times per week, compete in one to two tournaments per
month ending in early April. These teams (13/14/15/16/17/18 JO) will also receive strength
& conditioning workouts to focus on the development of their core and include isometric
exercises that challenge the strength of the athlete over the course of the season. These teams
are typically the more competitive teams in the program, many of which compete at the
AAU National Championships and/or qualify for the U.S. Junior National Championships.
Please note if your daughter qualifies for the U.S. Jr. National Championships this will
extend her season through early July. This is definitely the level to compete in if your athlete
aspires to compete at the collegiate level.
Regional Winter and Spring
NEW
Seasons
Regional teams (13/14/15/16/17/18) will be offered for those who are unable to make the
same commitment as the Jr. Olympic athlete. These teams will practice twice per week and
compete in two tournaments per month. The winter season will run from December through
mid April and the spring season will run from mid April to June. If you are a winter regional
player and choose to participate in the spring regional season, you will be guaranteed a spot
on a roster. A tryout for spring season will be conducted in late March. Please register on

Coaches
Sky High has one of the most experienced coaching staffs in the Midwest. In addition
to providing a positive learning experience, our coaches are dedicated to train all skills
including the latest techniques. Our program will challenge each athlete, which will allow
them to achieve the next level.
College Scholarships
Sky High has secured scholarships for more than 97% of the senior athletes for 25 years.
According to RichKern.com, Sky High Volleyball is Ranked #2 in the Nation for number of
athletes playing at the DI-level from 1999 to date. Sky High is also Ranked #2 in the Nation
for most athletes in the class of 2014 competing at the collegiate level.
All players must be registered with USA Volleyball/Great Lakes Region prior to any
club tryout. If the player registered with USA volleyball last season (with any club) their
registration will be good for all tryouts through October 31, 2014. However, all players
must renew their USA membership prior to November 1, 2014. Players must present
their USA membership card at check in. Please follow the instructions below to register
with USA/Great Lakes Region.
Junior athletes should register with USA Volleyball/Great Lakes Region at the following
link: www.greatlakesvolleyball.org. Please note you will need your user name and password
to access your account from last season. Double check your personal information for
accuracy and update your account if necessary. If the system does NOT find your record,

Sky High Registration Opens September 1st
All athletes must have a liability form signed by a parent. When you register online you
will select the box which confirms you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of
the liability waiver for each site. However, we will need to collect a hard copy of the waiver
signed by a parent at registration.
At the conclusion of the final tryout for each age group, a list of athletes who have been
selected to participate in the program will be posted. There will be a brief meeting with
parents and athletes following the tryout to review some paperwork. Please note at this
time in addition to making a deposit to secure your space at Sky High we will also require
athletes to order and pre-pay for their required uniform. A date for a mandatory parent’s
meeting and registration will be announced at the end of the final tryout.
