Brimsham Green School is a vibrant and dynamic 11–19 school, located on a large,
beautifully landscaped site in a semi-rural location in Yate, South Gloucestershire with
excellent access to a wide range of transport networks. We are an inclusive school, equally
ambitious for all our learners. Our aim is to foster a life-long passion for learning, and we
equip our students with the necessary ambition, personal skills and academic qualifications
to be successful at whatever future pathway students choose to pursue beyond Sixth Form.

Our Resource Base provides exceptional support for students with physical disabilities,

them. Our link with Hosanna School in Uganda thrives because of this. Our commitment
to students goes beyond the classroom. We offer a varied and exciting range of enrichment
opportunities, and student-participation is really strong. So whether it’s School Band, Duke
of Edinburgh, drama productions, Science & Engineering clubs, voluntary work placements
or sports clubs and teams, there are opportunities for all.

Moving to a new school is both exciting and challenging. At Brimsham Green our aim is
to help make the transition to secondary school (and indeed when joining us from other
secondary schools) as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We have an extensive programme
of transition in place to support children and their parents through this period of change.
This ensures new students to our school adapt quickly and confidently.We believe children
need to feel safe and secure in order to thrive and succeed in their learning.

A relentless focus on providing the best teaching and learning experiences is at the heart
of everything we believe and do at Brimsham Green School. All staff are highly qualified and
engage fully in developing student potential. Student achievement is celebrated through
successful programes such as our popular Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which
encourages exploration, stewardship and resilience. The Brimsham Young Leaders
Programme (which incorporates ur Learn to Lead Programme and School Parliament) is
driven by our Head Boy, Head Girl and Prefects – supported by fully trained staff – which
encourages ownership and responsibility for innovation and leadership. Our International
School status recognises our strong links through exchange programmes and visits to
Poland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Iceland, Uganda and USA, and challenges students to
develop deeper cultural and linguistic awareness.
