The first few slides are from my non-scientific study and comparison of FJ interior dome
light replacement options. You will see where I have replaced the front dome light with an
Ebay purchased Chevy dome/map light combo. Like many of the other modifications I’ve
done to my FJ; that idea came from the fine folks that contribute to FJCruiserForums.com
website @ http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/
I have also added two 5-LED 3-AAA battery powered puck lights over the rear
seats.
I now have the “Oznium, Flexible Super Thin 20-LED” in the front and the back
dome lights. These guy’s are very bright and really do the trick for me!
My reason for doing this is pretty simple, I’m getting older and I need more light
to read/see by. I also put some exterior light pictures in just for grins.

connectors. You just need to select the
same size as the bulb you are
removing.

Note: You do not have to remove the
whole dome light fixture to do this LED
install. I had already removed my front
dome to replace it with a Chevy
Festoon power
connector installed
dome/map light combo.
LED Installation

1. Remove the thick double sided
sticky tape from back of flexible
display. Be careful not to pull the
wires from their soldered
connections or crack the LED
while you’re doing this.

2. Tuck the white connector in with the
festoon power connector.
3. Put a small thin piece of double sided
tape on back of the LED to hold it in place.
