Important Resident Reminder
1. All move-ins, move-outs, and deliveries, must be scheduled with the Management Office at least seven (7) days prior in order to properly schedule a
reservation for the designated service elevator and increase the likelihood of
securing a reservation for the day of your preference. Requests made within
less than the above stated number of days may not be granted due to limited
elevator availability and an alternate date will be offered to you. Once scheduled the Management office requires a $750.00 Security deposit (refundable)
to the Akoya Condominium Association. All companies entering the receiving area are required a Certificate of Liability Insurance addressed to the
Akoya Condominium Association. Please apply in the Certificate holder box
our Building name and address and send it the Management office through
email and/or fax. Deliveries and Moving hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:30
PM, Monday through Friday. NO DELIVERIES ON THE WEEKENDS.
Please call the Management Office at 786-621-3333 to schedule a delivery
or moving. Our fax number is 786-621-1843. We may also be contacted via
email at [email protected] for Olga Aponte. Please do not
ask us to make an exception for any of the above items.
2. HOSING DOWN BALCONIES….
Please be considerate of your neighbors below and refrain from pouring water
onto the balcony, for the reason it will hit balconies below. The best way to
clean your balcony is to use a damp and/or squeegee mop with a bucket of
water. Please extract the excess water and wipe the balcony area, allowing it
to dry. Thank you in advance for you understanding to this matter.
3. BUILDING ACCESS & SECURITY
The access control system is in place to protect our residents and our property. We urge all residents’ cooperation by NOT swiping your key fob to
give access to others who do not have one. Security personnel are assigned to
protect the property and assist our residents. We ask you for your cooperation
by reporting to Front Desk/Security (305-403-1000) any unusual activity or
if you see non-authorized persons on premises.

Please note that although the above meeting schedule will be
adhered to as much as possible, a Board Meeting will still be
subject to confirmation and adequate notice at least 48 hours
before the meeting.

property along Collins Avenue. The
Association has bags available for your
dog’s droppings. Please place them in
the receptacle intended for that purpose.

Recycling Program
Please make sure that all items that are recyclables be
placed on the third floor following the arrows pointing to the
Freight Elevator down the corridor. There are two bins that
are available for your convenience. If you have items that
need to be recycled do not leave it unattended on any floor
since it generates a cluttered environment. Thank you for
keeping our building clean from debris. For your reference,
please find enclosed on page 4, recycling instructions and
what should be considered a recyclable item.

Intellectual Life in the Akoya
Residents of the Akoya who are interested in Florida and in their
neighbors may be interested to know that Akoya resident TD Allman's new book, Finding Florida: The True History of the Sunshine
State has just been published to favorable reviews in such publications as The Wall Street Journal and Miami New Times. The book
is available online and at all Florida book stores. The author will be
happy to sign copies of Finding Florida for Akoya residents. He
adds: "Who knows what other intellectual endeavors Akoya people
are pursuing? Books? Music? Performance art? Maybe they will tell
us, and some stimulating new friendships will emerge."
