A Few Words from The Editor
How time flies! It’s been almost three months since we announced the Fall
Del-A-Gram issue. I would like to apologize to everyone for taking so long
to produce this issue of The Del-A-Gram. November, December and January
were very busy months for all of us. We had so many different things going
on, I wanted to say something about all of them and the only way I could
do that was by combining it all in the one issue -- this one. This was also a
transition time for the Del-A-Gram as we had prepared to introduce you with a
redesigned newsletter with different topics more geared towards life at Delmar.
I sincerely hope that we will obtain feedback from all of you and believe
that this is the only way that we can improve the quality of The Del-A-Gram.
Furthermore, if you wish to incorporate articles of particular topics in our next
newsletter, you are most welcome to submit the scripts to your editor.

China, a 5,000-year-old civilization, has always been one of the most exotic
and intriguing destinations for travelers. Its rich cultural heritage – which
includes the invention of movable type, astronomy and spaghetti – has shaped
world history.
Today, China is an economic powerhouse that will continue to shape the
world’s future. Its unique business systems are ever evolving; its influence on the
global markets grows daily. Any true understanding of China must encompass
both its cultural history and its contemporary position as a business leader.
Last year at our annual Christmas party, Rochelle Lindzon & Bryan Martin were
the lucky winners of the Delmar Trip to China. They now share their thoughts
and wonderful experience with us in this trip report.

ceremonies and other Delmar-related activities as a means
to enhance our brand identity.
We recently purchased a 45.2” by 78.7” bilingual banner
which was on display at the Montreal Holiday Bash. In the
upcoming months an English version will also be designed

New Delmar Radio ads will run during the Montreal
Canadiens Games on CKAC, as part of our on-going
efforts to raise Delmar’s profile in the public’s mind and
establish our position as a cutting-edge, Canadian owned

It is with pride and excitement that the recent acquisition of The Federated Group of companies including Federated
Customs Brokers Limited, Federated Freight Services Limited, J.D. O’Hearn & Company Limited and Federated International,
Inc. (Federated) which carries on business in Vancouver, Sarnia, Windsor, Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, Hamilton, Montreal,

functional, cohesive group. There will be no immediate significant changes to any of Federated operations. Delmar has
already committed its full support to all Federated offices and departments. Management of both groups has already begun
the process of exploring synergies and opportunities. Many have already been identified, and we are very excited and
looking forward to keeping you abreast of developments.

Annual Montreal Traffic Club
Oysters Party
On November 5th 2009, the Montreal Sales and Export
Team members were invited by Robert Lapointe VicePresident of Sales and Marketing to the Annual Montreal
Traffic Club Oysters Party in Old Montreal.
This event is an excellent opportunity to meet with people
from Trucking companies, Air and Steamship lines.
Everyone had lots of fun at the rendez-vous.
Special thanks to Robert for organizing this event.
Once again, Delmar will be hosting a customer appreciation
night at the theater on Monday May 10th, 2010, featuring HARVEY.
Harvey is a funny and sentimental story of Elwood P. Dowd,
and his best friend an invisible, six-foot rabbit named Harvey.
Elwood’s family are distraught; the medical team at the local
sanitarium are frantic, and the townspeople are mystified.
This Oscar-winning film originally starring Jimmy
Stewart and Josephine Hull was revived multiple
times in star studded productions and is soon to
be a Steven Spielberg film.
During this event our customers will re-discover the
magic of the big white rabbit - and enjoy one of
the most successful comedies ever written.
Shoppers Drug Mart
Delmar was nominated as the

several years. In addition to all
our previous services Delmar

all Asian countries, ocean export as well as transborder services
of shipments north and southbound USA.

Being the largest privately owned freight company in
Canada with a great success record and strong client list

highly sought after. Our website is our face to the online
world as it may likely be the first impression we make doing it well, is worth our investment.
The Delmar website is currently undergoing a complete
facelift with more exciting and interactive features which
are attractive and will provide a highly creative and
unique online presence. The home page will boast an
intricate Flash piece which will provide hype and reach
out to our target market.
Drupal Content Management System will be used for
this revamped site. This system will allow us to add new
pages, blogs and news articles easily while a set of
integrated modules will enable Drupal to provide French,
English and Chinese content for each page added to the
site.
Watch out for the release of this new site in the upcoming
months.
Our TradeAid customs training sessions became quite a popular tool for our clients who, this year, wished to implement proactive compliance platforms within their customs trade chain environment.
Many clients expressed their desire to simplify some of the complex regulatory environments the CBSA (Canada Border
Services Agency) has to offer as well as facilitating the ground work into eventually implementing a compliance environment
within their own business platforms.
The 2010 season in the Quebec region will also benefit from a new platform where our training sessions were recently
approved for translation thus satisfying a growing need for our French speaking clientele.
Delmar’s IT department has been very busy this past year developing and
enhancing our new industry-leading Cargo Management System (DCMS).
You may ask “What is DCMS?”.
Simply put DCMS is a web-based tracking software. Once fully implemented,
DCMS will revolutionize the way tracking is currently done at Delmar.
With DCMS, a shipment can be tracked and made visible from the time the
order is placed, until it reaches destination. It allows clients to manage global
order fulfillment from conception to delivery, through a browser or a mobile
device, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
A friendly dashboard, allows users to quickly identify items requiring attention,
thus being able to prioritize and take immediate action when necessary. Its
customizable workflow processes are easily adaptable to business requirements,
allowing the user to set rules that apply to all shipments or are PO specific.
You decide what you want to see, how you want to see it and who to share
the information with. DCMS allows for multiple individuals, within the supply
chain, to collaborate in a single secure environment. Event notification, with
configurable automatic e-mail alerts, ensure prompt communication and quick
action by providing up-to-date real-time information.
Designed with simplicity in mind, it allows individuals to use the system easily and
intuitively. A series of training seminars will be held to help clients and agents
embark on this latest software, which gives our clients better visibility to their freight.
Watch for further information in our upcoming issues.
We have had a number of agents visiting us during the
last months.
In September Rob van Steensel from VCK Rotterdam BV
visited our headquarters in Montreal. Lorenzo Cerretelli
from Alisped visited our Montreal and Toronto offices
in October and Kitty Ng along with Stanley Kwan from
K-Line Logistics passed by our Montreal, Toronto and
Vancouver offices in November.
For the 3rd Consecutive year, Delmar’s annual client appreciation event was held at the Eagles Nest Golf Club, an 18-hole
course voted best “Golf Course in Canada” by Score magazine in 2008 and home to an exquisite restaurant that offers
year-round fine dining.
Delmar’s most recent tournament, held on July 17th, 2009, had over 20 foursomes competing for the lowest score in
a traditional “scramble” format. Delmar Management including Harrison, Robert and Paul Cutler, Mike Wagen, Robert
Lapointe, Carmine DiFruscia and Lonny Fineberg from the Montreal office were present to help host the event along with

Oct 3rd, 2009 was the Moon Festival (also called
Mid-Autumn Day) in China. Delmar China staff
prepared gift-boxes containing Chinese traditional
moon cakes and local wine for the staff and customers.
A competition was organized amongst the China staff
who designed these wonderful gift boxes together. Some
of the staff members shared creative and good ideas,
others designed pictures or wrote a poem where each first
character on each line was the first Chinese character for
the name Delmar in Chinese ”德玛物流中国”. The winning
Poem (pictured below) was composed by Richar Li of Delmar
Tianjin. An exceptional calligrapher drew the characters
with a traditional Chinese Calligraphy Brush (pictured below
right). It’s noteworth to mention that old Chinese poems are
written vertically and read from left to right.
The final product: A wonderful Gift box with six moon cakes,
each packed separately in smaller boxes. On each small box,
you see a picture of a famous landmark where Delmar China has an
office in: Qingdao, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Ningbo.
Congratulations to Maggie Zhao from DHS, Lily Gao from Delmar
China HQ and Richar Li from Delmar Tianjin who won MP5 players for
the top 3 most creative ideas.
During the summer months, the Delmar Social Committee
organizes lunch time BBQs for all staff.
This year, Montreal’s BBQ took place on May 28th and
was jointly hosted by the Social Committee and the IT
Department. Everyone had an excellent time.
A special thank you to the Social Committee for organizing
these wonderful summer BBQ’s!

Delmar Quebec kicked off its 2009 Holiday Bash
this season with “A Night At The Movies”. Despite
the fact that our chartered bus was a little late we
were lucky to find a clear lane all the way over the
Champlain Bridge.
Guests, including members of our Toronto office
were greeted to an open bar and appetizers that
were sure to please even the most refined palate.
The red carpet welcomed partygoers to the theatre
lobby, where we all mingled, while the DJ played
upbeat music for everyone to enjoy!

Various food stations were soon opened and the
hardest decision was asking yourself. “Do I carboload on pasta tonight?” “Or am I having a classic
Old-Fashioned smoked meat sandwich?”
It was soon time to begin the raffle prizes and
long-term service awards. Shawn Forrest won the
draw for a trip to China and Medea Jandron took
home the 42” Big Screen TV! Lucky I-Pod winners
included: Raluca Alex Padina, Bradley Ellacott, JP
Deragon, Phonn Nim, Vanessa Gomoury, Mark
Patterson, Steven Eichler and Brian Harbour.
Congratulations to all!
Inside the cinema Mike Wagen was gracious
enough to provide moviegoers with a recap of
the first part of the “Twilight” series and around
9:00 pm the feature presentation of “New Moon”
began.
Dessert and coffee immediately followed the
movie.
A great time was had by all!
On behalf of Delmar Montreal, we thank all stars
who attended this year’s bash and look forward to
great success for the upcoming year.

Delmar’s Ontario Holiday Party - One Hit Wonders....A
Musical Venue Party was held on November 27th, 2009
at the Stage West Theater. We continually hear great hits
and hum along to great melodies, but often those songs
and the artists, come and go. It’s said that everyone has a
chance for 15 minutes of fame, and so it is with One Hit
Wonders. We looked at the hits and the hit makers and
the night was almost 2 hours of non-stop musical hits and
great memories from the 1950’s to the 2000, starting with
The Arrows (I Love Rock and Roll) and end with Billy Ray
Cyrus (Achy Breaky Heart)
Everyone ate / drank / watched / smiled and danced
The Toronto winner of the grand prize “Trip to China” was Ivana
Forgiarini. The 42” Plasma TV door prize was won by Magzina Correia
and the “Stage West night package” consisting of a hotel for one night,
bottle of wine and 2 tickets to a show at the theatre was won by Keron
Stevenson.
On behalf of Delmar Toronto, we thank everyone who attended the 2009
Holiday Party and look forward to another successful one in the year 2010.

Delmar Spotlight Policy
How Delmar International Inc. is perceived is in large measure the
result of corporate image, public perception, and the totality of
communications that shape the mind-set of our customers, colleagues,
suppliers, or the community at large.
Corporate identity plays a pivotal role in contributing to the image of
Delmar. It defines the overall graphics standards for the correct use of
Delmar’s logo, our company’s most valuable trademark. The Delmar
logo is a means of symbolizing and differentiating Delmar’s identity in
the market place. Correct usage of the Delmar logo will help maintain
the legal viability of our trademark position and creates long-term value
for Delmar.
This is why your cooperation is necessary to ensure the successful implementation of this important corporate initiative.
To assist in this endeavor, this Corporate Identity Standards manual has been prepared for your reference. The goal is to
provide a consistency and direction that will assist Delmar in achieving its long-term vision of establishing a leading brand
in the market.
This manual discusses and illustrates the required standards in applying our corporate logo. If, after consulting this
document, you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the Delmar Corporate Communications
Department at [email protected], which is responsible for approving all applications of the corporate logo.

grown from 30 to 50. The office space grew

About Shanghai
Situated on the east bank of the Yangtze River, Shanghai is the largest
industrial city in China. Covering an area of 5,800 square kilometers
and with a population of 18.7 million, it’s one of the most crowded
urban areas of the world. Shanghai serves as the largest base
of Chinese industrial technology due to its important
seaport and China’s largest commercial and financial
center.
Previously known as the “Paris of the East” it now
calls itself “the Pearl of the Orient”. Shanghai is the
commercial center of China and has one of the most
dynamic skylines in the world. Through history, it was
the most vibrant and cosmopolitan city in China and
today this international metropolis is undergoing an urban
revival and is regaining its status as a sophisticated and
fashionable cultural center.
Shanghai is a flourishing, bustling, vibrant and relatively
young city with energy and a unique glamour. It’s a mix
of oriental and western culture, bringing the best of both worlds together.
In Shanghai, European-style buildings can be seen standing alongside
traditional Chinese structures and ancient temples. This sophisticated city
is quickly becoming the dominant destination in Asia for business and
leisure. The key areas of interest of Shanghai are Sightseeing,
Business and Shopping which are centered upon People’s Square
and along the Huangpu River.”
The LA office is located in the ‘middle of the action’. We’re
very close to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and
are almost next door to US Customs. We have been at
our current office for quite some time now. The Office is
also conveniently placed near the busiest container port
in the United States - The Port of Los Angeles, also called
Los Angeles Harbor and WORLDPORT L.A., adjoins the
separate Port of Long Beach.
We are privileged to have 10 great, highly motivated,
experienced and knowledgeable individuals working in the
LA office, who are always ready to take care of all aspects
of International (Import and Export), National, Regional
and Local Transportation, as well as Customs Brokerage
and Warehouse & Distribution tasks.
When all is said & done – We’re all doing great and are
very excited about what is heading our way - Tomorrow!
We are striving to make every day a Delmarlicious Day!
About Los Angeles
Los Angeles is the USA’s second largest city after New
York. It has been called everything from “La La Land” and
“Tinseltown” to “City Of Angels” but is most commonly
known simply as LA. Sprawling along the Pacific coast
of southern California, its coastline stretches 122km (76
miles) from Malibu to Long Beach. Inland, the city fills a
vast, flat and once arid basin ringed by the Santa Monica
and San Gabriel mountains.
Arriving by plane gives a good first impression. Out of
this vast flat grid of streets and buildings rises a cluster
of imposing skyscrapers. These mark the LA Downtown,
26km (16 miles) inland from the coast. Northeast is
Pasadena. To the west and northwest are Hollywood,
Beverly Hills and Century City and the wide San Fernando
Valley. To the south is Long Beach. Along the west coast
are Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Marina del Rey.
Founded in 1781 by Mexican settlers, over the centuries,
LA grew from a cow town to a Gold Rush boomtown
to an oil town. In the 1920s, the fledgling film industry
decamped from New York in search of sunshine and
Hollywood was born. Today, all the major studios are here
and the city is the world’s undisputed king of film-making.
Disneyland may be the city’s major attraction, but LA is
also home to world-renowned cultural institutions from the
Museum of Contemporary Art to the LA Philharmonic and
the stunning Getty Museum.
LA is exuberant - there are
few places in the world
where the phrase ‘Express
Yourself’ is taken so literally.
Hippy health fanatics exist
happily alongside some
of the most glamorous
and wealthy people in the
world. Most visitors come to
enjoy world-class shops and
restaurants, lie on beaches
bathed in almost constant
sunshine and simply to
people watch.
The Windsor Office is Located offsite from the Ambassador
Bridge. Since Delmar opened in Windsor it has moved
a few times most recently to an office twice the size. The
office is very spacious - we love it. Our staff is comprised
of 7 ladies, operating 16 hours a day, 7 days a weeks,
staggering shifts to cover the weekends.
The Windsor office offers Customs clearance for the ports
of Windsor and Sarnia from 8am to 4pm and clearance at
all ports after 5 pm 7 days a week.
We are looking forward to a Healthy and Prosperous New
Year.
About Windsor
It’s no secret that the people and city of Windsor LOVE
visitors! It may be part of the smalltown, hometown
atmosphere that causes that reaction. Maybe it’s because
Windsor likes to show off the many sights and attractions
in the city!
Summer’s heat is lengthy and deep in Windsor, Ontario, one of
Canada’s most southerly towns. Grapes grow easily in the benign
climate and wineries scatter the gentle farmland of the region. In
Windsor, breweries rely on the high-quality hops and barley from
nearby fields to create distinct local brews. However, agriculture
was long ago eclipsed as the pre-eminent local industry by the
automotive sector. For decades a section of Windsor was simply
known as Ford City. Today, the industry remains vibrant, and is
closely intertwined with the massive automotive sector just across
the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit.
Windsor tourist attractions include Casino Windsor, a lively
Downtown, the Odette Sculpture Park, Ojibway Park, and
nearby Point Pelee National Park. Windsor was a major
entry point into Canada for refugees from slavery via the
Underground Railroad and a major source of liquor during
American Prohibition.
Windsor is linked to the United States by the Ambassador Bridge,
the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, and a Canadian Pacific Railway
tunnel. The Ambassador Bridge is North America’s #1 international
border crossing in terms of goods volume: 27% of all trade between
Canada and the United States crosses the Ambassador Bridge.
Shave to Save
The Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation announced that the 2009 edition of the Shave to
Save event, organized by Virgin Radio, was once again an incredible success. During
the campaign, held throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, from October 1st to
30th, the Virgin Radio 96 team did not run out of work, with 100 heads to shave and
over $456,000 raised.
The Delmar Shave To Save event, which was organized by the Montreal Social
Committee took place on October 23rd. Virgin Radio 96 (formerly Mix96) announcer
Heather B. with colleague Diana R. and a Hairdresser from “La Coupe” came to
our office between 10.00 and 11.00 o’clock and shaved Delmar volunteers Kevin
Davidson’s, Ruben Gamboa’s and Willima Lafortune’s heads.
Delmar’s employees and friends raised $2890 for this very worthy cause in the name of
our deceased colleague Mrs. Leili Fasihpour.
Thanks to everyone who contributed and encouraged our volunteers Kevin Davidson,
Ruben Gamboa, and William Lafortune.

In Memory of Carol Thompson
January 8th marked a full year since our dear
friend and colleague Carol Thompson passed
away.
Carol was with Delmar for many years and was
very dedicated to the company, her coworkers
and she was very close to the owners and their
families. She was a special lady with a character
and spirit that we all loved and now miss dearly.
Her attitude was always a positive one and she was
always concerned more for those around her, even
in her final years and as she lost her fight with cancer.
She is loved and missed!
This year the employees at the
Montreal, Toronto & Lacolle offices
raised $437.00. Delmar matched
this amount and also donated
$500. A total of $1374.00 was
raised For Carols favorite
charity: La Foundation MarieEve Saulnier, where they care for sick
children with the same spirit and manner
Carol herself loved and admired.
To honor Carols memory Delmar will make and continue to
make a donation this and every year to her favorite charity.

Opani Mudalige
Merl Mudalige daughter, Opani, graduated from
University of Toronto, St. George Campus in June 2009,
with an Honours Degree in Environment & Resource
Management with Minors in French and Geography
Presently she is working as a Volunteer in Madagascar
with a UK based Charity called Azafady for 2 1/2
months. The project runs in rural areas of southeast
Madagascar, supporting the environmental, humanitarian
and sustainable development for the villages. Although
Madagascar is biologically one of the richest places in the
world, its inhabitants are amongst the poorest, and they
are facing big environmental issues.
Opani and the other volunteers will be involved in building
wells to provide clean water to protect villages from
spread of cholera and helping to make community market
gardens, to improve nutrition to the families which will also
help to provide villagers with an alternative income. The volunteers will also construct a school in a village where there was
none. They will be also planting trees in areas which are deforested, building bathrooms, building fuel-efficient stoves for
villages, and will also spend time educating kids on health, etc.,.
The volunteers will be living in their own tents throughout their stay as they will be traveling from village to village, with very
basic comforts. Their main meal will be mostly consist of beans and rice.. They have no access to telephone or Internet, until
they come for 3 to 4 days break to the nearest town every 3 weeks.
Opani had to raise 2000 British Pounds for the Charity (which was a condition) in
addition to her air ticket and other personal expenses. She worked long hours during
summer, held a garage sale, went busking at Toronto’s famous St.Lawrence Market with
her fiddle on Saturday mornings (she had to get up at 4:30 a.m. to grab a good spot
at the market), and also wrote to friends and family for donations. She managed to
reach her target just one day before she left.

On Its way to becoming the drink of the moment, tea is being served alongside the Cristal at VIP events in
Hollywood, and hip tea shops, like Teany, owned by techno star Moby, are destination spots. Reports of health
benefits are also sparking interest in the brew. But which tea will suit your needs and testes? Below a primer:
White Teas
Green Teas
Health Benefits of White Tea:
• Extremely high amount of antioxidants
• May inhibit the growth of certain forms of cancer
• May reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
• Excellent for skin and complexion
• Approximately 1% of the caffeine in a cup of
coffee
Health Benefits of Green Tea:
• May help boost the immune system
• Includes polyphenols which may help prevent the
growth of certain cancers
• Soothes the stomach and digestive system
• Regulates blood sugar
• Lower cholesterol
• Contains 5-10% of the caffeine in a cup of coffee.
Oolong Teas
Black Teas
White teas are appreciated by tea connoisseurs
for their unmatched subtlety, complexity, natural
sweetness, and delicacy. Least processed (steamed
and dried), these teas have very little caffeine.
Oolong teas are full-bodied with a fragrant
and fruity aroma. Often called weight loss teas
because they help burn fat built up in the body.
They are often served in Chinese restaurants.
Health Benefits of Oolong Tea:
• Good for metabolism and digestion
• May help lower your cholesterol levels
• Also known as ‘Wu-Long’ teas
• Excellent for skin and complexion
• Contains 10-15% of the caffeine in a cup of
coffee.
Straight green teas have a clean, delicious taste you
will enjoy. Green teas include EGCG complex, a
highly desirable antioxidant.
Delicious black teas are loved in the West. Fullbodied and strong, they taste great alone or with
milk and sugar. And they make great iced tea.
The caffeine makes them a good morning tea. But
unlike coffee, you won’t have the jitters.
Health Benefits of Black Tea:
• Aids in lowering cholesterol
• May help regulate your blood sugar
• Gently stimulates the heart and circulatory
system
• Promotes healthy teeth, skin and bones
• Contains 20% of the caffeine in a cup of coffee
Theoretically 85% of household waste is recyclable!
PAPER
Paper is based upon wood, a natural renewable
resource, it is both biodegradable and recyclable.
However, Almost 5 million tons of waste paper are still
sent to landfill or incineration each year.
About 10% of household waste is made up of
newspapers and magazines
On average, 16% what you spend on a product pays
for the packaging – money that normally ends up
straight in the bin!
It takes 17 trees to make a ton of paper
It takes 75,000 trees to print a Sunday Edition of the
New York Times
In the year 2000, 13,500 aluminum cans were
recycled every minute in California alone.
GLASS
Glass bottles and jars make up 7% of household waste
Glass takes over 1,000,000 (one million) years to
decompose in a landfill.
Glass can be recycled into jars, jewelry, bottles,
dishes, drinking glasses, coffee mugs and many other
items.
PLASTIC:
Plastic bottles are made from oil - a fossil fuel that
will one day run out. It is important to make use of
materials like plastics that can be recycled and re-used,
rather than continually exploiting the fossil fuels used to
make them in the first place.
Every year, Americans drink more than 100 billion
cups of coffee. Of those, 14.4 billion are served in
disposable paper cups. Enough to wrap the earth 55
times if placed end-to-end! Those paper cups contain
a plastic lining made from a petrochemical that would
produce enough energy to heat 8,300 homes. That.s a
town the size of Newtown, Connecticut.
Introduced just over 25 years ago, the ugly truth about
our plastic bag addiction is that society’s consumption
rate is now estimated at well over 5 billion plastic bags
annually, or almost 1 million per minute!
One ton of paper from recycled pulp saves 17 trees, 3
cubic yards of landfill space, 7,999 gallons of water,
4.200 kilowatt hours (enough to heat your home for
half a year), 390 gallons of oil, and prevents 60
pounds of air pollutants.
An estimated 13 billion plastic bottles are disposed of
each year
It takes just 25 x 2 liter pop bottles to make one adult
size fleece jacket.
Recycling a single plastic bottle can conserve enough
energy to light a 60W light bulb for up to 6 hours.
Steel and Aluminum
Steel and aluminum cans are 100% recyclable. In just
6 weeks they can be used to make a fridge, a plane, a
car or simply another can
It takes 80-100 years for an aluminum can to
decompose (break down) in a landfill.
Aluminum cans can be recycled into: soda cans, pie
plates, license plates, thumbtacks, aluminum foil, and
many other items.
Recycling one aluminum can can save enough energy
to power a TV for up to three hours.
If we all do
our share... A little
will go A Long Way
and even the smallest of
actions count.

Right Click
The objective of the game is to fill all the blank squares
in a game with the correct numbers. There are three very
simple constraints to follow. In a 9 by 9 square Sudoku
game:
• Every row of 9 numbers must include all digits 1 through 9
in any order.
• Every column of 9 numbers must include all digits 1 through
9 in any order.
• Every 3 by 3 subsection of the 9 by 9 square must include
all digits 1 through 9.
Tech Support: “I need you to right-click on the Desktop.”
Customer: “Ok.”
Tech Support: “Did you get a pop-up menu?”
Customer: “No.”
Tech Support: “Ok. Right click again. Do
you see a pop-up menu?”
Customer: “No.”
Tech Support: “Ok, sir. Can you tell me what you have
done up until this point?”
Customer: “Sure, you told me to write ‘click’ and I wrote
click’.”
Two Words
A prince had a curse put on him when he was a little boy.
He could only speak two words every year. But, if he
didn’t speak for a whole year, he would then be able to
speak 4 words the next year and so on.
One day he met a princess named Josie and he wanted to
say “My Princess”.
The next year he saw her he wanted to say “My princess,
i love you”.
The third year he saw her he wanted to say “My princess I
love you, will you marry me?” But, the young prince, now
growing older knew he would have to wait a couple more
years.
So, on the fifth year, excited to finally present his question,
he visited the princess.

“My grandson is about
as many days as my son
is weeks, and my grandson
is as many months as I am in
years. My grandson, my son
and I together are 160 years.
Can you tell me my age in
years?”
He approached her respectfully and asked, “JOSIE, MY
PRINCESS, I LOVE YOU. WILL YOU MARRY ME?”
And the princess said, “Pardon?”
Careful What We Ask For
A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him.
The waitress asks them for their orders.
The man says, ‘A hamburger, fries and a coke,’ and turns to the
ostrich, ‘What’s yours?’
‘I’ll have the same,’ says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress returns with the order ‘That will be $9.40
please,’ and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact
change for payment.
The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says,
‘A hamburger, fries and a coke.’
The ostrich says, ‘I’ll have the same.’
Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.
This becomes routine until the two enter again. ‘The usual?’ asks the
waitress.
‘No, this is Friday so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad,’
says the man.
‘Same,’ says the ostrich.
Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, ‘That will be $32.62.’
Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and
places it on the table.
The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. ‘Excuse me, sir.
How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your
pocket every time?
‘Well,’ says the man, ‘several years ago I was cleaning the attic I found
an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered me two
wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would
just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would
always be there.’
‘That’s brilliant!’ says the waitress. ‘Most
people would ask for a million dollars or
something, but you’ll always be as rich as you
want for as long as you live!’
‘That’s right. Whether it’s a gallon of milk or a
Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there,’
says the man.
The waitress asks, ‘What’s with the ostrich?’
The man sighs... pauses and answers, ‘My
second wish was for a chick with long legs
and who agrees with everything I say.’
Mice
A computer company I work for placed an order
for computer mice from Japan. After the normal
delivery period had elapsed, we
contacted the airport to enquire what
had happened to the consignment.
The official in charge said that it
was nowhere to be found and
should be reported as missing.
Some time later the official
contacted us to say that the
package had been found. When
we asked where it had been, he
replied sheepishly, “In quarantine.”
