I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength
+ DeLyla June Riekenberg Moore, “Ricky”+
believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him;
It has pleased Almighty God to call out of this world to Himself in Heaven, the
soul of DeLyla June Moore, “Ricky”, on the 25th day of July in the year of our
Lord 2013 at the age of eighty years old.
but the Holy Ghost has called me by the Gospel,
enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept
me in the faith; even as He calls, gathers, enlightens,
and sanctifies the whole Christian Church on earth,
and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith;
In which Christian Church He daily and richly forgives
all sins to me and all believers; and will at the
Last Day raise up me and all the dead and give unto
me and all believers in Christ eternal life.
This is most certainly true.
(Explanation of the Third Article, Apostles Creed)

REMEMBRANCE OF BAPTISM
THE PARTICIPANTS
The Liturgist: Vicar David Schlimbecher, Peace Lutheran Church, Prairie Grove
The Preacher: Pastor David P. Hudak, Christ Lutheran Church, Siloam Springs
The Organist: Mrs. Dorothy Jones, Bella Vista
Your are invited to attend a fellowship luncheon to be served here at the church
immediately following the Funeral Service!
Liturgist: In Holy Baptism, Ricky was clothed with the robe of Christ’s
righteousness that covered all her sin. St. Paul says: “Do you not know that all of
us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?”
Congregation: We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in
order that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the
Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with
Him in a death like His, we shall certainly be united with Him in a
resurrection like His..
THE RESPONSIVE PSALM – Psalm 46
THE EPISTLE – Ephesians 2: 8 & 9
L: God is our refuge and strength,
C: a very present help in trouble.

L: There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
C: the holy habitation of the Most High.
L: God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
C: God will help her when morning dawns.
L: The nations rage, the kingdoms totter,
C: he utters his voice, the earth melts.
L: The Lord of hosts is with us;
C: The god of Jacob is our fortress.
L: Come, behold the works of the Lord,
C: how he has brought desolations on the earth.
L: He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
C: he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with
fire.
L: Be still and know that I am God,
C: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;
Give us this day our daily bread;

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and
ever. Amen.

O God of grace and mercy, we give thanks for Your loving-kindness shown to Ricky
and to all Your servants who, having finished their course in faith, now rest from
their labors. Grant that we also may be faithful unto death and receive the crown

THE OLD TESTAMENT READINGS – Psalm 23 and Ecclesiastes 7: 1 & 2

live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.”
C: Lord, now You let Your servant go in peace; Your Word has been fulfilled.
My own eyes have seen the salvation which You have prepared in the sight of
every people; a light to reveal You to the nations and the glory of Your
people Israel. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen.
L: “I am the resurrection and the life,” says the Lord. “He who believes in Me will
live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.”
