Well summer is in full swing and winding down.........kids will be in school, people are getting those futurity babies
fit, their longe liners going and the finishing touches put on their 2 yr. olds.
We have had a VERY successful show season so far. Our Memorial Day show was once again a huge success. We
had really good numbers, many new faces along with our loyal club members who have supported us for years! Our
exhibitor meal was outstanding once again and I would like to thank Carrie Gulling for preparing all the meat and the ever
so popular baked beans. It takes her many hours behind the scenes to prepare this and we appreciate it very much! Thanks
Carrie for all you do!!
We also had a very successful first show at the new facility in Iowa Falls. We filled the barn and had good numbers
both days! We look forward to many more shows there.......with the next one being Aug 28th. Get your stall reservations
in early to ensure your spot!
Be looking for futurity and state show information. Final plans are taking place for that and we once again look forward to another great futurity. We are so fortunate to have great members who support this great futurity and our shows!
See ya'll at the next show!!

HELLO ALL IOWA PAINT HORSE YOUTH
This summer has been a fun one and there have been a lot of new friendly faces at the shows. Keep up the great work
of telling your friends how great of a club we are.
To give you an idea of what a great club we have- Iowa Paint Horse Youth Club sent a check for the AjPHA
Presidential Project Wounded Warriors in the amount of $914.00! That was awesome!! Thank you to all who donated and
purchased items and “Chairs” for our auction at the Memorial Day Show in May.
We will be getting involved again this coming year with the new AjPHA Presidential Project "See It In Color" and will
benefit MDA. We will do the “Chair”ity auction and collecting the walk trot charity of choice monies not designated by
the winner to go someplace else. Thank you adult club for allowing us to collect their charity money as well for our donation to AjPHA.
Looking ahead to the State Show in September we are planning some fun for the youth during some slow times. Along
with helping opening of gates and setting up trail classes we will be selling 50/50 tickets! This has been so much fun with
the excitement of winning $$$$ and the seller of the ticket winning some fun stuff too. We will also have the Wii set up
for some competitive bowling. We will have further details posted as they develop.
We also wish to remind fellow paint horse exhibitors who also show at open/4-H shows about the PAC (Paint
Alternative Competition) program. Horses are able to earn PAC points for their show record while not attending a Paint
only show. Please contact APHA.com for rules and forms. Encourage your friends showing paints at an open/4-H show to
try an Iowa Paint Horse show as well.
