comes to an end – and a relaxing night
awaits you as the 3-seater rear bench seat

To us, merely thinking responsibly is not
enough – we act accordingly and see environmental sustainability as an integral
component of everyday life. The Multivan
Startline and the Multivan Comfortline
with BlueMotion Technology lead the way
by setting a good example. Compared
to a Multivan model without BlueMotion
Technology, they can save up to 0.5 litres
of fuel per 100 kilometres, which keeps the
emission of harmful substances at a mi
nimum and reduces damage to the environment. This is thanks to a mix of inno
vative technologies such as regenerative
braking, the start/stop system and low
rolling resistant tyres. The efficient 2.0 l TDI
engines also make a significant contribution here: you have a choice of a 2.0 l TDI
engine with 62 kW 1) for the Multivan
Startline and a 2.0 l TDI engine with 84 kW1)
for the Multivan Comfortline as well as

Why worry about
driving surfaces?
The journey is its own reward, as they say.
You can therefore look forward to mud,
rain and dirt roads as the Multivan makes
sure that nothing stands in the way of
your thirst for adventure. 4MOTION permanent all-wheel drive supports you
every inch of the way. Engine torque is distributed as required between the front
and rear axle. The electronic differential
lock ensures even traction – for example,
during fast acceleration – by directing more
power to the wheels with better road
contact. This increases safety and driving
enjoyment – on each and every journey.

need – plenty of space. Children carry a lot
around with them: toys in all shapes and
sizes for a trip to the lake. Lots of dolls for

The equipment in the
Multivan Startline.
Please take a seat: the Multivan Startline has five seats as standard
with attractive, robust cloth upholstery. You can also order two
single seats with integral child’s seats as an option for the passenger compartment. It features full trim and fresh colours which
create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. The passenger compartment is
practical as well. The 3-seater bench seat can be moved to make
extra space in the luggage or passenger compartment. The table
is stowed in the sliding door and can either be secured to a rail
on the side panel or easily set up for use outside the vehicle.* Drivers
have a choice of steering wheels: the standard wheel made of robust plastic and, as options, a leather-covered wheel or a leather-
covered multifunction steering wheel. All have a classic 3-spoke
design. You can see all vehicle data at a glance on the instrument
cluster, and a “Climatic” semi-automatic air conditioner is avail
able on request.

the Multivan BlueMotion.
The Multivan BlueMotion is the most economical vehicle in its
class – this is assured by a comprehensive package of various innovative technologies. An efficient 2.0 l TDI engine with 84 kW* and
common rail technology is literally at the heart of this package. But
many other components of this vehicle have been specially adapted – such as the tyres and the energy management. The fact that
the progress in economy and ecology have not led to any compromises in terms of driving comfort and available space is just as
significant. This is a truly special combination – and it is obv ious just by looking at the Multivan BlueMotion: especially thanks to
the “Glacier Blue Metallic” paint finish exclusively available for the
Multivan BlueMotion (twelve paint finishes are available in total).

An exhibition in Hamburg? A concert
in Vienna? A sunset in Rome? Where
would you like to go first? Journeys in the
Multivan Comfortline are just as much
fun as arriving at your destination. There
are seven seats, including two swivelling
single seats and a movable 3-seater bench
seat at the rear. When you arrive at your
destination, you won’t even realise how long
you have been travelling, as armrests,
lumbar support and a steering wheel with
height and reach adjustment are standard
in all Multivan models. When you travel
in such comfort, you might even manage to
see the exhibition, concert and sunset in
one day.

Multivan Comfortline.
The Multivan Comfortline is attractive both from the outside and
inside. The inviting seats are upholstered in high-quality cloth or,
as options, in a combination of fine leather/Alcantara, or in fine
leather. Instead of the standard folding table on the side panel, a
multifunction table can be ordered on request in conjunction
with a second sliding door available as an option. Also standard:
ventilation and lighting strips in the passenger compartment
headlining, hard-wearing carpeting, a clearly arranged instrument
cluster, and the “Climatic” semi-automatic air conditioner.

Travelling as a group is more fun than travelling alone. Invite your
golfing partners for a drive – and ask them to bring their friends along,
too. The Multivan Comfortline with long wheelbase offers comfortable seating for up to eight. Up to six comfortable single passenger
compartment seats are available for all engine versions – with the
exception of 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The seating layout can easily
be adjusted as required, using the intelligent rail system. If you would
rather travel on your own after all, the generous space can be used
for all the luggage that you would normally have to leave at home.

Highline you have an elegant vehicle that

The interior of the Multivan Highline fulfils the promise of its attractive exterior: the displays in the “Premium” instrument cluster
have chrome surrounds; and the seats are upholstered in a combination of high-grade leather and Alcantara or, as an option, in fine
leather. Elegant aluminium look trim strips or as an option burr wood
trim strips complete the stylish appearance. The two sliding doors
can be operated by radio remote control, and the standard “Climatronic” 3-zone electronic air conditioner assures a pleasant temperature at all times. Each of the comfortable seats in the cab has
lumbar support.

Only you know where you want to go. But we’re happy to tell you what we aim for. Our
mission is to build engines that use less fuel, produce fewer pollutants and thereby
cause less damage to the environment. Efficient common rail technology has helped us
to achieve this goal with the TDI engines more successfully than ever before. We are
also breaking new ground with our petrol engines – a powerful TSI engine1) with modern
