Set-up
• To optimize preparation for the Exam
• Program design by ECEIM, based on
consultation with the current
residents and remarks made in the
past
• We started simply just by doing
• > 25 Residents applied before the
program was fixed!!!!
• Initiative: René van den Hoven
– Rehearsal of subjects
– Increase the scope
– Some learning by doing
– Complete knowledge on problem subjects
• To create personal networks
Evaluation: 17/20 Feedbacks
• Summer school was perceived as good
• Low budget approach appreciated
• Good balance between practice and
theory
• Levels of information were generally
perceived as adequate to good for a
resident
• Various perceptions of the levels esp.
in parasitology, virology and clinical

College Improvement Fund:
Call for Projects
• ECEIM wants new ideas for improving
involvement of its Diplomates and Residents
• The project can have all kinds of subjects, e.g.
education, training, communication, visibility,
empowerment of countries without Diplomates…
• Winner receives money to execute the project, as
well as a time slot at the congress to present it
• The budget has a maximum of 10.000 euro’s
• Sent Ideas, description of the project, its aim and
budget plan (1-2 pages) to secretary

spent much time for the College
• We want to thank you all very much
• It doesn’t go unnoticed
• However, some of us spend even more thoughts

situation“ might be reached

1. Caroline Hahn wanted more information about the
taxes the College has to pay, being a limited
corporation; the answer (given by BO and Josh
Slater) was that the College as a non-profit
organisation does not need to pay income-tax but a
kind corporation tax
2. An ACVIM and ECEIM boarded Diplomate asked,
why he has to pay fees for the American College as
well as for ECEIM; the answer: The Colleges are
indedependent from each other and if someone
wishes to be a member in both institutions, he has to
pay the respective fees in both

– 10 were due in 2014 (vs 14 given a year in
2014)
– 18 were due in 2015

• 3 failed
– AMG’s, 2/5 mandatory.
• When failing: attend the next AMG and your 5 year
period will start again. Until then n.p.
– MCQ, first re-accreditations need to have
send in MCQs to exam committee
• 3 still undergoing the review process
