Only timeless resources such as
these, shaped into distinctive
form and superior function by
the hands of a trained craftsman,
will yield an exceptional product.
his is the philosophy that was embraced when the first
Lopi wood stove was built nearly twenty years ago.
From the beginning, our skilled artisans have combined
ageless materials with state-of-the-art technology
to produce the finest wood heating appliances made.
What’s more, we still follow the most demanding
design guidelines imaginable: make it look like fine
furniture, yet heat like a furnace.
Lopi wood stoves and fireplace inserts warm the
coldest days, brighten the darkest nights, and soothe
with a gentle radiance that inspires family activity as
much as personal tranquility. Installation choices and
styles are practically endless — from bedrooms and
formal living rooms to kitchens and home offices.
No matter where you install one, a Lopi stove adds
comfort to your life and value to your home.
The cheerful, dancing flames of a Lopi also provide
welcome relief to your checkbook. An open fireplace
sends up to 80 percent of a fire’s heat up the chimney
and depletes warm air from surrounding rooms; in
contrast, a Lopi fireplace insert is more than five times
as efficient as an open fireplace and distributes warm
air throughout the home.
Lopi wood heating appliances are designed and handassembled at our plant in Kirkland, Washington. Each
stove comes with a limited lifetime warranty; after all,
we have the experience and confidence to stand
behind our products, year after year. Many things have
changed from the days we built our first Lopi, but that
first stove will always have something in common with
the most recent model: uncommon beauty and lasting
performance.
“Lopi is not so much a brand name as it is a tradition — of craftsmanship in the construction of our wood stoves, and of pride to the
families who own them. We invite you to share this proud tradition.”

wning a home is the American dream, but the
expense of heating your home with electricity, oil, or
gas can be a real nightmare. Only Lopi convection
wood stoves offer the kind of even, penetrating heat
that comfortably warms every room in your home
for a fraction of what you’d pay for standard utilities.
Most stoves give off radiant heat, which only warms
objects within the room; Lopi adds bang to your heating buck by using a five-sided convection chamber to
circulate room air around the stove and push warm air
back into the room. This dynamic process warms
room air and circulates it to other areas of your home
without using a blower. Only Lopi stoves include convection chambers as a standard feature — other manufacturers make you buy bulky and expensive add-ons
(and some don’t offer them at all). Lopi is the only
non-catalytic stove to feature a standard by-pass
damper for smokeless startup and reloading.
Most people don’t know that their old inefficient wood
stove may generate as much as three pounds of pollutants into the air each day. The good news is that
E.P.A.-certified Lopi stoves emit as little as 1.9 grams of
particulates per hour, thereby reducing pollutants by
over 95 percent. The Lopi stove uses substantially less
wood to get the same amount of heat as you did with
your old stove. Now, you can heat your home for less
money than ever before; at the same time, you can
feel good about keeping the air clean and breathable.
Lopi offers the closest clearances to combustible
surfaces of any wood stove — just a few inches on
some models — giving you maximum location
flexibility. Distinct finishing touches such as various
leg styles, a solid brass door, and etched glass can
create a unique look that fits your individual sense
of style.

When frigid winds begin to howl and your power lines
snap, Lopi wood stoves free you from dependence on
standard utilities and provide a reliable source of
warmth. Whatever the weather, wherever you live,
your Lopi will bring light and life into your home for
many years to come.

The no-nonsense Patriot stove comes
complete with a black cast door and
steel legs — ready to go to work.
The Patriot is a basic, small wood heater with many of the same features found in larger,
more expensive stoves. Designed with single a room or cabin-type use in mind, the
Patriot rapidly transfers heat directly to its surroundings: it allows you to warm selected
rooms within your home instead of the entire house, thereby reducing central heating
bills by as much as 75%. The simple, understated lines of this stove contour around a
radiant cooking surface and a wide door for easy loading.

The Answer stove is perfect for moderate heating
needs and accessorized perfectly for this home
with a sharp redwood finish and a pedestal.
It may be small, but the compact Answer’s size belies its incredible heating capacity. The
Answer uses a five-sided convection chamber to distribute heat evenly throughout your
home: cool air is circulated around the firebox, as it warms, the air flows back into the
room naturally without using a blower. The Answer’s 1.6 cubic foot firebox is larger than
most other small stoves, it offers longer burn times with less reloading. It’s a powerful
heater for its size, yet backwall clearance is just 9" to a combustible surface. The Answer
is also approved by HUD for mobile home installation (ask your dealer for details).

Our most popular woodstove, the Endeavor, features
a charcoal finish and allows this cheerful sunroom to
be warm and comfortable year-round.
The Endeavor is a beautiful workhorse that unites form and function into an unbeatable
heat transfer system. Its classic step-top design features a radiant surface for cooking, and
a convection surface for warming. It has the biggest and cleanest-burning firebox of any
medium-size stove, yet offers the closest clearance of any woodstove in the industry — only
4" inches to a combustible surface. The Endeavor also features a taller door opening than
any other medium-size stove, allowing you to load bigger pieces of wood and produce
longer burn times. In addition, a by-pass damper prevents smoke-backs while starting
and reloading.

The powerful Lopi Liberty is perfect for this
home with a solid brass door and legs and
customized with a metallic brown finish.
The Liberty is the largest stove made by Lopi. At only 2.6 grams of emissions per hour, it is
also the cleanest-burning large stove ever approved by the EPA. The Liberty has the biggest
firebox of any large stove, which accepts 24" logs. It also features a single control to adjust
air flow, making it easy to achieve burn times up to 12 hours long. The Liberty’s step-top
design is enchanting yet functional, providing cooking and warming surfaces as well as
radiant heat. The viewing area is extra-large, allowing you to fully appreciate the splendor
of the fire inside. The Liberty uses a 6" diameter flue, compared with the more expensive
8" flue required by other large wood stoves.

SNUG
dyllic as it may seem, a traditional fireplace is really
just an open exit that takes heat (and money) straight
up the chimney. Instead of heating the room, an open
fire consumes heat from the rest of the house. Lopi
fireplace inserts allow you to convert that wasteful
masonry, or metal, fireplace into a super-efficient
hearth system that can heat your entire home for a
fraction of what you’d pay for electricity or oil.
Do you have a reliable source of heat if the power goes
out? It can happen for days at a time, especially when
icy winds blow and snow makes roads impassable.
A Lopi wood burning insert can be the best friend
you’ll have when the power goes out. Your home stays
warm and you stay self-sufficient when everyone else
is in the dark. Several models even offer a radiant
cooking surface.
Lopi inserts distribute heat evenly using a five-sided
convection chamber — a standard feature with us, but
an expensive (or unavailable) add-on with other insert
brands. Lopi inserts also feature a single control to
regulate heat output, making it easy to burn clean and
stay warm. Lopis are the only non-catalytic inserts to
feature a standard by-pass damper for smokeless startup and reloading.
Lopi inserts come in a wide range of sizes and options
to fit your heating needs. They can be flush mounted
for a more traditional appearance or extended onto
the hearth for extra radiant heating. Blowers are
available for increased heat flow; solid brass door and
etched glass options can also be added to make your
insert truly unique. Customized paint finishes are
featured in many of the homes in this catalog.

The Answer insert warms this living room and
features a solid brass door with a complimentary
forest green paint finish.
The Answer is a terrific way to heat a secluded room or small home. It conserves space by
mounting flush into your existing masonry or zero clearance fireplace. Yet it still offers
advanced features like a five-sided convection chamber to distribute warm air evenly and
a single air control for easy regulation of burn and heat output. The Answer’s door opening
is 2" taller than most other small inserts, so you can load it with larger pieces of wood.
The Answer has the largest firebox available in a small insert, so it offers longer burn times
and gives you more time to enjoy watching the flames between fuel loadings.

The Revere featured in this room, with a solid brass
door, optional blower and a customized metallic
brown finish, will convert a drafty metal or masonry
fireplace to a source of safe, efficient home heating.
An excellent primary heat source for medium-sized homes, the Revere is truly in a class
of its own. Its 10" x 24" radiant cook surface is the bigger than any other medium
insert. It also has the largest and cleanest burning firebox of any medium insert — the
Revere can take logs crosswise or lengthwise for greater capacity and longer burns. The
Revere is the only insert of its size to use a by-pass damper for smoke-free startups and
reloading. It is the largest approved firebox available for zero clearance fireplace installations.

The Freedom insert is installed in the flush
application and features a custom golden
brown finish and an optional blower.
By delivering a remarkable 71.1% efficiency rating, the Freedom reigns as the most
efficient large insert on the market. It is the only insert of its size that can either mount
flush (a good way to go if used as a room heater or for backup heat) or extend the insert
7" onto the hearth. The Freedom insert is adaptable to many fireplaces because the firebox
is tapered to fit the widest possible range of fireplace openings. The Freedom can take a 24"
log, making overnight burns easier than ever before.

This Freedom Bay adds accents to the room
with a customized blue metallic paint finish.
The Freedom Bay is proof that beauty and function really can be engineered to go hand
in hand. At an emission rate of only 2.6 grams per hour, it is the cleanest burning large
insert ever tested and approved by the EPA. Framed by hand-polished solid brass, the bay
“windows” are actually side convection chambers that allow air to circulate around the
huge firebox and return to the room heated. Because it’s flush mounted, the Freedom Bay
includes a quiet, yet powerful blower (standard) to produce superior air flow.
The Freedom Bay also comes standard with a solid brass door and brass trim, making
this insert our most distinctive and elegant heater for larger homes.
