Sponsored by Westerly Community Credit Union, the CU4Reality Financial Literacy Fair is an event that will give high school students a chance to see how career selection impacts their financial well-being and their life choices. Students will create a spending plan based on a salary and career they have already researched, and juggle needs-versus-wants to make sure they are living within their means. Students will then meet with representatives from local auto dealerships, insurance agents, lenders, utility providers, retailers and others, to help them understand the real expenses they will face in adulthood and the choices they’ll need to make to avoid falling into debt.
