from. Our company, Viridian, is the leading provider of green renewable energy in the country and since 2009 we have helped residential and commercial consumers of energy to avoid over 7 Billion pounds of CO2 emissions. With our Everyday Green electricity and
Simply Smart natural gas products we help anyone who pays an electric bill to lower their utility costs, amplify their recycling effort by
50x and put more green energy into the grid. In addition to our work with the local utilities, we are on the forefront of an assign shift
in the way we look at our energy; solar is the next big change in the residential and commercial energy sector. Our solar team will help
you to understand your options and if you meet the qualifications, you may have the opportunity to have a full custom solar system

Benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Recently, People’s Credit Union’s six
branches collected funds to support the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s
Pennies for Patients 2016 Campaign.
Employees organized events such as pancake breakfasts, bake sales, and raffles, helping the Credit Union to
raise a total of $3,344.98, which will directly benefit the Leukemia
and Lymphoma Society.
“In the 1960’s the survival rate for the most common form of
childhood leukemia was 3%. Today it’s approximately 90% thanks
to many research advances funded by the Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society,” said Ellen Ford, President & CEO. “The donations that the

blood cancers.”
Westerly Community Credit Union Teams Up With Local High
Schools For Financial Literacy Fairs
Westerly Community Credit Union
recently teamed up with the Chariho, Westerly, and Narragansett
High Schools to hold their annual
CU4Reality Financial Literacy Fairs.
Sponsored by Westerly Community
Credit Union, the CU4Reality Financial Literacy Fair is an event
that will give high school students a chance to see how career
selection impacts their financial well-being and their life choices.
Students will create a spending plan based on a salary and career
they have already researched, and juggle needs-versus-wants to
make sure they are living within their means.
Students will then meet with representatives from local auto dealerships, insurance agents, lenders, utility providers, retailers and
others, to help them understand the real expenses they will face in
adulthood and the choices they’ll need to make to avoid falling into
debt.
