 Dress modestly. Cleavage shall not be exposed.
 Halter tops, tops with spaghetti straps or tops that leave the midriff exposed are not
allowed, even with a jacket, sweater or additional shirt covering the shoulders. Straps
shall be 2 inches wide or greater.
 Under garments shall not be exposed. (E.g. brassieres, underwear, boxers, etc.)
 Leave wallet chains at home.
 Shorts and skirts need to come to the mid-section of the thigh or longer, and must stay
at that length when seated or moving about. The only exception is if the student is also
wearing colored leggings.
 Holes in clothing above the knee must also be worn with leggings underneath.
 Clothing may not advertise alcohol, drugs or tobacco products. Any words, slogans, or
pictures that are lewd, crude, obscene or a put down are not allowed.
 Unusual hairstyles that are distracting in appearance, need constant attention, or
obstruct the student’s vision are discouraged.
 Any clothing that is considered to be gang related will not be allowed.
 Headbands and scarves are not allowed to be worn. Hats may be worn outside only.
 All students must wear shoes at all times at school. Pajamas or slippers are not
appropriate to wear to school. Flip flops or platform sandals are not safe footwear at
school.
 Label personal items. Lost items can be retrieved from the “Lost & Found” area.
 Keep your hands, arms, legs and clothing free of “writing.” Sharpies are not allowed at
school.
 All decisions of dress and grooming appropriateness are at the discretion of the
principal.
