The Recreation Department provides a well-rounded class experience for each child. We do our best to meet the individual needs of each child
in a relaxed environment. Children must be the correct age by the first day of class. Our classes promote socialization, physical and mental
growth, and can help ease the transition to preschool. Staff will not change diapers. If your child is in a drop- off class, you will need to be
available if a diaper needs to be changed. An adult must accompany each child enrolled in a parent/child program. Families with twins and
triplets must bring additional caregivers.

will act, craft and learn about all of their favorite giants from the past. This class

Can’t get enough of kindergarten? Let us further engage your child through this
wonderful time! We will work to supplement the daily activities of the school
districts to best suit the educational development of each child, through a variety
of concrete and abstract learning activities. Projects and activities will be loosely
structured around the interests of the class participants to best fit the needs of
each child while having a lot of fun! Students are required to bring a peanut free
lunch and drink each week. This is a great extension for AM Kindergartners.

About The Instructor
Irene Murphy is a licensed Kindermusik® educator
and the director of programs in Cary, Crystal Lake and
Lake Zurich. She has been teaching Kindermusik®
since 1998 and has a diverse background in both
music and education. She graduated from NIU with
an Elementary Education degree and a minor in
Music. Her experience includes positions as choir
director, cantor, music educator, workshop speaker,
wedding/funeral soloist, tutor and education director.
Irene is currently Director of the Children’s Choir at
St. Peter & Paul Church in Cary, where she also
volunteers her time with music events and activities.
She enjoys music through singing, teaching, playing
various instruments, and engaging both children and
adults in joyful expression through music!

variety of musical activities and experiences in

one of the best things for your baby’s developing
mind. Kindermusik baby classes offer a sensory
rich environment, complete with music, movement,
singing, and play! Each activity in a Kindermusik class
touches on every learning domain, creates special
bonding moments, and begins to instill a lifelong love

Kindermusik® Wiggle & Grow FOR TODDLERS
This music filled class celebrates the unique joys of your growing child. Each
week your child will love singing, dancing, and playing instruments with you and
new friends. You’ll love helping your child practice a wide variety of abilities
that include gross and fine motor skills, turn-taking, social skills, and active
listening. In class, we’ll also share tips and ideas for using music throughout
