and he also looks forward to working with them to make decisions that will be beneficial for DRN’s

existing and future members. Radermacher also added that he thoroughly enjoys and appreciates the
staff he works with. His favorite part of his job is finding ways to streamline the process of analyzing current data and using
it to create reports that help strengthen the company.
Outside of the workplace, Radermacher enjoys spending time with his wife and their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter,
golfing, and watching sports. If given the chance to travel anywhere, Radermacher said, he and his wife would return to
Europe. They would love to revisit the cities they enjoyed together early in their marriage, as well as travel to other areas
for the first time. n

Cooperation with clear purpose, determination

Working together with purpose and passion, husband
and wife team Scott and Shawn Maro, created Maro &

staff throughout the Midwest, and offers diverse
consulting services to companies around the globe.

software to its full potential. In 1991, he began consulting
for IR Bobcat in Gwinner. With much of his time working in North Dakota, Scott’s wife Shawn and four growing children
remaining in St. Paul, Minn., the couple prayed for an opportunity to have more family time. In 1997, seeing the benefits
for their family and the opportunity to help rural North Dakota businesses grow, the couple along with their children,
moved to Gwinner.
Once again, opportunities changed direction. In 1997 and Scott opened yet another Twin Cities based software and
consulting business in St. Paul. Away from his family, Shawn approached Scott with a plan to bring his expertise back to North
Dakota where together, the couple worked to create Maro & Associates, Inc. With Scott’s
entrepreneurial spirit to meet these new challenges head on, he relied on his wife’s strengths

DRN employees raise funds for ND veteran
Service dogs help veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder restore their physical and emotional independence.
Employees at DRN, along with the Board of Directors, set a $20,000 goal for Service
Dogs for America (SD), based out of Jud, ND. The money raised will purchase a service
dog for a North Dakota Veteran. As of June 15, 2016 DRN has raised $3,223 of the
$20,000 goal.
U.S. soldiers who return home from combat, can suffer lasting mental effects called
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from being in hostile situations. SDA trains service
dogs to help veterans living with PTSD to recognize and interrupt behaviors of the disorder.
The service dogs help those with PTSD restore their physical and emotional independence. n
An estimated 23
U.S. Veterans commit
suicide every day.
Studies show suicide risk
is higher in people
with Post-Traumatic
Stress Disorder.
Help Us Help A Veteran!
DRN customers can help a ND Veteran who sacrificed to protect our great nation by
making a donation to the cause. Donations may be dropped off at a DRN customer
service location in Ellendale, Oakes or Lisbon. During summer events, those who
make a $20 donation or more will receive a free t-shirt from DRN.

continued from page two.
While Scott leads the team, he humbly admits his wife is integral to their team’s achievements.
Shawn oversees ongoing business operations and is responsible for managing the financial
planning and record keeping. Scott endearingly compliments his wife’s skills. “She juggles
the demands of keeping books and stays on top of the piles of paperwork generated by the
business, while being a mother of four, grandmother of two, and maintaining the duties of
a homemaker.”
Talking with the couple, it’s easy to see the complimentary partnership they have relying on
each other’s strengths. It’s this understanding and teamwork that makes Maro & Associates
unstoppable. Scott looks to add new ideas and fresh challenges. He states, “We reinvent all the
time. Thanks to new strides in technology and the quality and speed of Internet provided by
DRN, Maro & Associates connects to companies across the country. It is so convenient that
we can stay right here in Gwinner and everything can be done virtually from the finger tip.”
Scott offers these
words of advice to
aspiring entrepeneurs
in the world,
“Never stop

A very successful entrepreneur, Scott
offers these words of advice to other aspiring
entrepreneurs in the world, “Never stop
dreaming–always pursue your dreams.” As
Babe Ruth, Major League Baseball Hall of
Famer stated, “It’s hard to beat a person who
never gives up!” The Maros tend to agree, and
add that all things are possible with God for
His Glory–in faith, hope and charity. n

Working together with purpose and passion, husband

remaining in St. Paul, Minn., the couple prayed for an opportunity to have more family time. In 1997, seeing the benefits

Once again, opportunities changed direction. In 1997 and Scott opened yet another Twin Cities based software and
consulting business in St. Paul. Away from his family, Shawn approached Scott with a plan to bring his expertise back to North
