to say that nothing finer has yet appeared in our lists than record
K-05098, containing the most salient points of "Capriccio Espagnol"
by Rimsky-Korsakov.

HE Spencer Dyke String Quartet, whose initial "Vocalion"
recordings (Record No. R 6140.
were issued in April last and created such a favourable impression, have turned to another
British composer for their present record, which includes two "Novelletten"
by Frank
Bridge.
Mr. Bridge, who is also well-known as conductor and viola player, has written a great
deal of chamber music, these "Novelletten"
being singularly
attractive examples of his genius
in this direction.
The tone and balance achieved by the Quartet are again superlative.
