August 2015 Vol. 41, No. 8 The Village Mill news Brandermill As Others See Us HOORAY FOR US! Best & Worst edition of Richmond Magazine has hit the newsstands and Brandermill ranks a lot of different things, including Richmond area communities in a variety of categories. For Brandermill, we ranked BEST Neighborhood for First-time Home-buyers in ; BEST Neighborhood For ; and tied for 3rd BEST (with Rountrey & Walton Park two ’s and one tie for third for our community – all in the same year! Not only did the community get ranked BEST in a couple of categories, we also had some of our very own commercial enterprises receive accolades. Brandermill Woods ranked BEST Community for Continuing Care in all of Boathouse was ranked BEST Restaurant for the View and Food and also received recognition in oth- e r categories. Long & Foster has an pany was ranked BEST Real Estate Company. We hit the trifecta with BEST Bank Services – Wells Fargo, Virginia Credit Union, and Union a nod in several categories. We have it all in Brandermill folks and we just keep getting better. Celebrate and be proud of your community and share the good news with others! What we say about ourselves is one thing. What others say about us is something entirely different. In this case, it is a high compliment about our Brandermill. And, the compliment comes from hundreds of readers of Richmond Magazine! As Community Manager John Bailey has chronicled herein, our community and commercial members have been graded the “best” in the region in a number of qualityof-life categories. Equally impressive is the fact that Brandermill got more top awards than any other community in this year’s survey. Not bad for a community that has been around longer than almost any other. Not bad at all. Brandermill continues to reinvent itself year after year, BCA Board and Central Virginia President is taking note. Reputation is the only thing any of us —or any of our creations—leave behind when we ultimately depart this Charlie Davis old planet. So, what we do and how we do it matters. We’re doing a lot each and every day. But, we’ve still got a lot to do. Every decision that is made and pursued is aimed at improving our property values. Public recognition will take care of itself. path. Readers of Richmond MagaSo, enjoy the read. Enjoy the ride. Need to reach the right person at the BCA?
