Azalea Park
In the heart of Summerville lies a
12-acre public park featuring ponds,
tennis courts, thousands of azaleas and
12 installations of The Summerville
Collection – permanent public
sculpture gifted by Sculpture in the
South. The park is the site of the
YMCA Flowertown Festival,
Sculpture in the South Show and Sale.

Colonial Dorchester State
Historic Site
Visit Colonial Dorchester, a
nationally significant archaeological
site on the Ashley River containing
the remains of a colonial era village.
Colonial Dorchester offers visitors
the rare opportunity to join with
park staff in hands-on archaeology
work. Interpretive kiosk and trail,
scheduled tours and excavations

Givhans Ferry State Park
On bluffs above the scenic
Edisto River and near a ferry
crossing used in 18th and
19th centuries lies Givhans
Ferry State Park. Camping,
cabins, hiking, fishing, picnic
area and river access.
