that would like to compete on an international level in a
great environment. The championship is not just open to
teams from Europe but also to teams from all continents.

groups are offered. Dance teams can also choose between

The Disneyland® Paris is the perfect environment for this

championship will be held at the Times Square Ballroom of
the Disney‘s Hotel New York® Convention Centre.
Participating teams and spectators can book different
packages including accommodation in different hotels,
registration fees and park tickets for the Disneyland® Park
and the Walt Disney Studios® and even touristic packages.
Also packages that only include the registration fees and park
tickets are available for commuting teams. We are looking

INTERNATIONAL UCA ALL STAR CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP 2017
The Spring Open together with it‘s
partner event The European Open are
the only qualifiers for team cheer in
Europe for the International UCA All
Star Championship at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando,
Florida. The International UCA All Star Championship with
more than 20.000 athletes and coaches is one of the biggest
and most prestigious championships in the world that offers
all levels of cheerleading.
The european winner of the listed team cheer categories
win a partially paid bid for the International UCA All Star
Championship 2017 that includes the hotel and competition
packages for 8 participants staying at the All Star Resort for
4 nights in quad rooms. This package has a value of up 3.500
EUR
This package has a value of up 3,500 €!
The best teams of each european country will win an at
large bid for the International UCA All Star Cheerleading

THE UDA NATIONAL DANCE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 2017
The UDA National Dance Team
Championship is one of the main
events in the international Cheerdance
scene. As part of this event all qualifiers
have the chance to compete in the
international categories in January
2017 in Orlando, Florida!
The european winner of the listed team dance categories
wins a partially paid bid for the UDA National Dance Team
Championship Weekend 2017 that includes the hotel and
competition packages for 8 participants staying at the All Star
Resort for 4 nights in quad rooms.
With more than 7.000 dancers from all over the world this
competition offers a great variety of dance teams and skills. The
championship does not only hold the School Championship
for the States but also a great All Star competition within the
event. More than 20 countries and some of the best US teams
will be competing!
The best teams of each european country will win an at
large bid for the UDA National Dance Team Championship
Weekend 2017 which contains the qualification to the
competition.
THE SUMMIT 2017
The Summit is held just one week
after the „Worlds“ weekend at the Walt
Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida and is
one of the biggest championship with
over 500 teams from all over the world

Commuter and Participant Packages
The Spring Open will be held at the Times Square Ballroom
of the Disney‘s Hotel New York Convention Centre. The
competition venue is not inside the Disneyland Park or
the Walt Disney Studios Park. A park ticket for participants
or spectators is not required but can be purchased in
combination with the different packages. There are
commuter packages available for teams not staying in a hotel

of the resort that include only the registration fees. Packages
for one, two or multiple nights stay in either Disney‘s Sequoia
Lodge or Disney‘s Hotel Cheyenne including registration
fees for participants or spectator tickets for spectators are
available. The spectator packages can also be booked in
combination with participant packages if families or friends
are travelling with your team.

In general no minors are allowed to sleep together in one bed
if they are not relatives and belong to the same family. The
participating team is responsible for making sure that this rule

Additional Services
There are a lot of extra services that can be provided in the
cause of The Spring Open. These services range from airport
shuttle over extra night bookings to dinner or bus tour
arrangements. Please find a summary of the different services
below. If you would like to request additional services please
feel free to contact us.
PARK TICKETS
Additional park tickets that are not part of the packages can
be booked for one park and one day for 48.00 EUR.
LUNCH, DINNER OR SNACK BOXES
We can offer festive dinners or lunch at different venues in
the Disneyland® Paris area like ballrooms or the restaurants
in the Disney Village. Also snack boxes can be booked for pick
up at the Hotel New York®. Please request your special rates
with us!
AIRPORT SHUTTLE
We can arrange an airport shuttle for your team to get picked
up and dropped off at a meeting point at the Charles de
Gaulles or Orly Airport. This shuttle will bring you directly
to your Disney Hotel. The rate for the shuttle depends on
the number of persons travelling and your flight itinerary.
Please request a rate for the shuttle from us by providing the
number of persons and your flight details.
PARIS OR CASTLE OF VERSAILLES
We offer Paris tours with a bus and a guide who speaks your
chosen language, directly from any hotel in the Disneyland
Paris. There are half day and full day tours available. You can
also combine the sightseeing tour with a dinner or lunch in a
beautiful restaurant in the Paris city center. Also a bus tour to
the Castle of Versailles is possible. Please request your special
rates from us with the number of persons, a chosen language
and the length of your tour.
EVENTSHIRT
Make sure to safe yourself one of our limited The Spring Open
2016 Shirts with the exclusive design. This year you can order
your Eventshirt in three different phases:
• Order up until April 08th without having seen the design:
14.90 EUR.
• Order between April 09th – April 22nd with the design
already published: 15.90 EUR.
• Order between April 23rd – May 20th or buy at the
competition: 18.00 EUR.
All orders made until Aipril 22nd will receive a guaranteed
shirt. All orders placed after April 22nd will be processed as
long as stock lasts.

THE RIVER SEINE
The waters of the river Seine have always been the heart
and soul of Paris, dating back to the days when the Parisli tribe first established a fishing village on the island now
known as Île de la Cité - between 250 and 200 B.C.. Particularly the section gracing the Seine around Île de la Cité
and Île Saint-Louis - features some of the city‘s oldest and

CASTLE VERSAILLES
The chateau and the gardens of Versailles count among the most
prestigious monuments of the world‘s artistic heritage and are
certainly the finest and most complete achievements of the 17th
centuries french art. King Louis XIII‘s former hunting lodge was
transformed and enlarged by his son Louis XIV, who installed his
court and government here. The chateau was embellished with
new apartments during 18th century, in the reigns of Louis XV
and Louis XVI. The royal family and the court were forced to leave
Versailles on October 6th 1789, after the first days of the French
Revolution. In 1837, King Louis-Philippe inaugurated the museum
in the chateau, devoted to glorious events in the history of France.

REGISTRATION PROCESS
How do I register my team?
Please download the current registration forms and have
them printed out. Please list every participants and the
correspondent team.
Please gather all necessary information and signatures. When
the forms are complete please scan them and send them per
Email to [email protected]
When I send my registration via Email, what format can
I use?
Please send all scans as PDF‘s.
Can I also send my registration by mail?
Yes you can. Please note that always the date of us receiving
your registration counts!

I want to send my registration by email but the files are
too large for one email, what can I do?
If you would like to send all scans by email and they are too
large for one email please either send us the forms as a .zip or
use a cloud with which you can send us a download link (e.g.
DropBox). Please note that we will not use download links if
there is not a clear instruction that it is about the registration
to the competition.
How do I know that my registration has been received?
If you send in your registration by email you will receive a
confirmation email as soon as we have downloaded your files.
If you send your registration by mail you will receive a
confirmation email as soon as we process your registration.
In how many categories can the members of my club
participate in?
Each individual participant can participate in up to three
categories.
My club would like to register more than the indicated 4
teams, what can I do?
If your club would like to register more than 4 teams please
print out the Contact and Division page as often as you might
need and indicate the number of the team. If possible please
have one teammember and coaches list for each contact
form.
IMPORTANT - Make sure that no participant or coach is listed
twice! Please only indicate the different teams with a checked
box.
My coach is also participating in one of my registered
teams, where should I write her / his name down?
If you have a coach or an assistant that is participating as a
teammember in any of your registered teams, please ONLY
write her / his name in the teammember list and indicate the
coaching with a „C“ next to the name.
I would like to register for the early registration discount
but I don‘t have all registration forms together yet, what
can I do?
If you would like to register your team for the early registration
discount you will have to send at least the following forms
fully filled out:
• Contact and Division Form
• Teammember list
• Coaches List
• Rooming / Commuters List
After we will send out the invoice you will have 14 days to
balance the invoice as well as sending in all missing forms.
I have to change the name of a participant after I have
already registered my team. Do I have to pay the changing
fee of 20 EUR for that and up to what date can I change
names?
If you would like to substitute one of your participants with
another name we will not charge the changing fee. You only
have to send in the name of the person that is not competing
anymore, the substitute persons details and the signed
personal registration form. You can do so up to the day prior
to the competition.
I have registered my team for the early registration
discount. When do I have to balance the invoice?
All invoices have to be balanced within 14 days after the
invoice has been send out and the latest on the day of the
competition. Early registration discounts will be changed
to normal registration fees if the invoice has not been paid
within 14 days after the early registration deadline.

How do I know that my payment has been received?
As soon as your payment has been received on the indicated
bank account you will recive a confirmation email.
When can I expect the first draw of the performance order
and list of participants?
The performance order as well as the list of participants will
always be published up to 7 days after the final registration
deadline. You will recieve an info email about it and it will also
be published on our website.
Why do you need the information who is 17 years of age
and younger?
We need this info in order to have enough security set up in
the Hotels for the time of the competition and also for the
nights.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Until what date do I have to register to take part in the
Parade?
To be part of the Parade you have to register your team until
January 31st and have all your invoices settled by February
14th.
What happens after I registered on time?
As soon as you have registered you will received a PDF File
to fill out details about the teammembers that would like to
take part in the parade. You will receive a video with which
you will have to learn and teach your members the dance.
Mid March you will have to send us a video of all attending
teammembers dancing that dance.
The final decision which team will be part of the Parade will
be made by Disney.
What do we need to wear for the parade?
Generally you will be wearing your uniforms details about
certain clothing that needs to be worn will be handed to you
after your registration!
How can I order eventshirts for the competition?
If you would like to order eventshirts for this competition
please fill out on page 17. You can order in three different
phases:
• Order up until April 8th without having seen the design:
14.90 €.
• Order between April 9th – May 22nd with the design
already published: 15.90 €.
• Order between April 23rd – May 20th or buy at the
competition: 18.00 €.

Our families and fans have ordered eventshirts online,
where can they pick them up?
If your families and friends that are not part of the team
registration have ordered eventshirts they can be picked up
at the Varsity Europe Shop in the lobby of the convention
center.
We have ordered eventshirts but have not paid the
invoice yet and tomorrow is competition weekend, what
can I do?
If your payment has not been received up to the day prior
to the competition, your order will be cancelled and the
preordered shirts will go back into the free sale of the Varsity
Europe Shop.
How much is the airport shuttle?
The price for the airport shuttle depends on the number of
people travelling. One bus that fits up to 50 people, costs
575,- € one way. If you are travelling in smaller groups we will
try to group you with other teams. If thats not possible we
will inform you and help you out with other options.
How much is a tour to Paris?
The prices for the tours vary a lot. It depends on many factors.
Please send us the infos on page 17 and we will make you an
offer as soon as possible.
ACCOMMODATION
How many nights can I stay in one of the Disney Hotels?
Your team can book up to seven nights at the Disney Hotels.
I saw a special offer on the Disney website. Can we
combine it with your packages?
No. The packages we offer are specially made for participants
and fans of the championship. All participating members and
fans have to book their accommodation in the offered hotels
with us.
I saw a special offer on the Disney website. Can I book
through that one?
No. All participating members and fans have to book their
accommodation in the offered hotels with us in order to keep
the low prices for all cheerleaders over the years.
What kinds of beds can be found in the Disney hotels?
The Cheyenne® Hotel has a queen size double bed as well
as two bunk beds in the rooms. The Sequoia Lodge® and
the Hotel New York® has two queensize double beds in the
rooms.
I have orded eventshirts for my team online, where can I
pick them up?
If your order has been received on time (up to a week prior
to the competition) and the invoiced has been paid, your
eventshirts will be handed out to you at the competition
check in.

Can we accommodate 5 people in the room when they
share a bed?
No. Disney‘s strict rules prohibit the accommodation of more
than 4 people in one room.
Where can I find the shop?
The shop will be situated directly in the lobby of Hotel New
York‘s Convention Center.
Where is the entrance to the warm up area?
The entrance to the warm up area is situated right accross
from the Varsity Europe Shop.

Do I have to send in the music for my routines?
Yes, please send an email or download link with your music to

Where can I find the check in desk?
The check in desk can be found at the check in area of Hotel
New York‘s Convention Center.

warm up area?
No. The warm up area is only for participants, coaches and
assistants.
Where is the entrance of the competition hall?
The entrance of the competition hall is situated right accross
from the Varsity Europe Shop.
AFTER THE COMPETITION
My team has won a qualification to one or more
championships in the States in 2017, what do I have to
do next?
All registration to the championships 2017 in Orlando, Florida
will be processed through Varsity Brands Europe GmbH.

published it will be send to all qualified teams. If you have

Each individual participant or parent has to sign this form. By signing this form each individual person states that he or she had read,
understood and accepted the general terms and conditions and the rulebook of this competition. This applies especially to the exclusion
of liability and the code of conduct of the championship. I agree that all information, photos or videos of participants gathered in the
course of the championship can be handed over to third persons or can be published without any claim of refunding in regard to the
participant. The participant agrees that all his or her personal information needed for the execution of the championship is recorded
by the organizer in electronical form or in writing. Each individual person confirms that she or he is physically in the condition to
participate in the championship and has a valid accident and health insurance. The participant can cancel his or her participation and all
other special offers until 14 days prior to the competition. There is a 20 % cancellation fee to be paid until 14 days prior to competition.
After 14 days prior to the competition there is no refund of any participation fees or other special offers. All changes made after the
registration will be invoiced with a 20 € processing fee per change.

General Terms and Conditions
The Varsity Brands Europe GmbH is the organizer of The
Spring Open at the Disneyland Paris, France. The following
general terms and conditions apply unconditionally to this
event. Additions and alterations require the written approval
of all contractual partners.
1. Conclusion of the contract
The complete registration of a participating team and
therefore of all of its participating members embodies a
binding offer for a contract formation. Acceptance of the
offer takes place with the confirmation of participation sent
by the Varsity Brands Europe GmbH. A complete registration
consists of the filing of the complete registration forms (team
registration, team roster, personal registration forms of all
participants) and by transferring the complete payment of
the balance to the Varsity Brands Europe GmbH.
2. Withdrawal of the participation
The participant can cancel his or her participation and other
special offers until 14 days prior to the competition. In this
case there will be a cancellation fee of 20% of the initial
competition fee and special offers. No fees can be refunded
when participants cancels or withdraws from the competition
and special offers after 14 days prior to the event.
3. Transfer of the contract
The transfer of all demands of the participant in the cause of
the event no matter on which legal grounds is foreclosed. The
legal enforcement of assigned demands is foreclosed.
4. Change of services
The event organizer reserves the right to change particular
legally agreed goods and services when it becomes
necessary and if those do not change the overall aim of the
championship. Changes on the date and the schedule shall
remain reserved.

8. Exclusion of liability and code of conduct
The organizer does not assume any liability for lost belongings,
accidents or personal or property damage. The organizer
does not assume any liability for disturbances or deficiencies
of services of third persons. The rules of the house, the resort
and hotels apply. The personal identification card of the
championship has to be carried along at any time of the
championship, is not transferable and will not be replaced
when lost. No alcohol is to be consumed during the entire
competition and any related events. Violation of this rule can
result in exclusion of the participant without entitlement
to refunds of any fees. The participants have to be on time
and warmed up at particular competition points and have
to follow the directions and instructions of the organizers
and their staff. Otherwise the rulebook of the championship
applies. Taking photos or videos during the championship is
forbidden when not stated differently. Violation of this rule
can result in exclusion of the participant without entitlement
to refunds of any fees. All documents and information of the
championship are exclusively for participants of this contract.
Participants become liable to damages when submitting the
documents or information to third persons.
9. Requirements for participants
The participant is strictly responsible for fulfilling all
requirements asked for to participate at the championship
and has to make sure that he or she meets all medical
requirements and has the ability to compete at the
championship. In case of uncertainty regarding a participants
medical and health conditions, the participant has to discuss
the issue immediately with the Varsity Brands Europe GmbH.
Every participant must assure that he or she has a valid
accident and health insurance.
6. Changes after registration deadline
All changes made after the registration deadline will result in
a 20 EUR processing fee per change.
10. Data protection
All information, photos and videos of participating people
gathered in the course of the championship can be passed on
to third persons or might be published by the event organizer
without any claim of refund in regard to the participant. The
Participant agrees that all his or her personal information
necessary for the execution of the championship is recorded
by the organizer in electronic form or in writing.
7. Warrantee rights and statute of limitations
The organizer is liable for the proper execution of the
championship under the German law. If any services are
