POS computer requirement: Hardware: P3-1G / 256MB RAM / 1GB hard disk or above. Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 32bit (64bit not supported). Peripheral device: A4 printer (for printing shift report). 2. Check list of required items for installation: IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM. Software key (a memory dongle) - Plugged in an USB port on the computer to release POS software lock during operation. Mifare desktop reader. Thermal receipt printer. VFD fee display. Cash drawer. Optional items: I/O interface box to send open barrier signal - for exit-POS solution only. Exit POS: The POS cashier station located at an exit point for payment operation. © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 3 4. Computer OS configuration: 4.1. Regional setting: Go to Windows [Start] -> [Control Panel] -> click on [Clock, Language, and Region] -> [Regional and Language]: Select appropriate language and other settings to match local requirement, and click [OK]. Please make sure to have the same settings between Server and POS in the section of [Clock, Language, and Region]. © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 4 4.2. Setup IP address: Important: Ignore this step and do NOT change IP address for POS computer if your POS and IPMS2000 server program are installed at the same computer and share the server default IP address of 192.168.0.80, otherwise, please follow the steps below to setup IP address: Under Windows [Control Panel] -> [Network and Internet] -> click on [Network and Sharing Center]: © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 5 Click on [Change adapter settings], and right click on [Local Area Connection] to enter its [Properties] page, (Or consult with your IT technician for other networking connection): Click and highlight [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)], and then click [Properties] to enter IP address configuration page. Check and select [Use the following IP address] to enter the following IP addresses, and click [OK] to confirm the setup: © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 6 IP address: 192.168.0.81 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Note: 192.168.0.81 is factory default, and if you have more than one POS station, please setup their IP address following the sequence for the last number of IP address. (ie. 81, 82, 83 …) © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 7 5. Software installation: 5.1. Microsoft ACCESS 2000 runtime: Note: Ignore this step if Windows 7 comes with Access 2000 already. Find the executable: “IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM\Runtime\Access2000Runtime.exe”, and double click to proceed installation. Complete installation: Follow the prompts to unzip executable. © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 8 After unzip all the files and executable “SETUP.exe” under C:\A2KRT folder. Double click on “SETUP.exe” to installation Windows Access step by step until completed successfully. 5.2. Install Crystal Reports: Find the executable: “IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM\IPMS Setup\POS_Install\Crysrept\CRYSTL32.exe”, and double click to proceed installation. © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 9 Complete installation: Follow the prompts and complete the installation. Note: Before using Crystal reports, the default A4 printer (refer to below section 5.4) need to be setup for printing complete reports properly. 5.3. Install Cashier Station POS program: Find the executable: “IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM\IPMS Setup\POS_Install\Pos Setup.exe”, and double click to proceed installation. Click on [Next] to continue installation after reading program information: © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 10 Click on [install] to install POS program and related files under “C:\Pos” or browse to select other location: Click on [Finish] when installation completed: © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 11 Important: After installation completed, before go on next step, please check under “IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM\IPMS Setup\POS_Install”, and look for a “POS Update” file folder. If the folder does not exist then please ignore this step and continue to next step. But if the “POS Update” file folder is presented, please copy all the files under this folder and paste to overwrite/replace all the same files under the “C:\Pos” where the POS program just installed. Set POS.exe runs as administrator: Right click on POS.exe and left click [Properties] under where POS is installed (C:\Pos) -> Under [Compatibility], check on the “Run this program as an administrator” in the [Privilege level] block -> Click [OK]. © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 12 5.4. Install an A4 printer: Please setup your own A4 printer. This printer needs to be set as the default printer. It is © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 13 required for report printing on POS computer. 5.5. Install receipt thermal printer - Star TSP100(TSP143): Important: Do not install the driver from printer manufacturer CD, please install the driver from installation CD-ROM. Find the driver installation Autorun file: “IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM\IPMS Setup \POS_Install\Driver\Printer\TSP143\tsp100iiu_v4_0_0\Autorun.exe”, and double click to proceed printer driver installation. Click on [Installation] and follow the steps until driver installed successfully, and click [Finish] to exit: © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 14 5.6. Install VFD fee display: Unplug the VFD fee display from the POS computer before driver installation. Find the driver installation executable: “IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM\IPMS Setup \POS_Install\Driver\VFD\WD202_304\Windows\CP210x_VCP_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista _7.exe”, and double click to proceed printer driver installation. © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 15 Follow the installation steps until successfully downloaded the driver file, and then check on [Launch the CP210x VCP Driver Installer] then click [Finish] to proceed final driver installation: Click on [Install] to proceed and complete driver installation: © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 16 Plug VFD fee display back to the POS computer, and turn on its power button below the display screen, and it should be ready to use. 5.7. Install Mifare desktop card reader - PCR310: Unplug PCR310 Mifare desk top card reader from POS computer first. Find the driver installation executable: “IPMS2000 installation CD-ROM\IPMS Setup \POS_Install\Driver\Mifare\PCR310\Driver\USB_PDR00002\Setup.exe”, and double click to proceed printer driver installation. The executable will launch the following driver installation window, and wait till it © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 17 completes installation and disappear itself. Plug PCR310 card reader back to POS computer again and it should be ready to use. 5.8. Install Mifare wall-mount type season card reader - DF750 (Optional): Note: No driver installation is required for DF750 Mifare wall-mount season card reader if it is connected to one of RS232 comports of POS computer. But if POS computer does not have a RS232 port, and DF750 is connected to one of USB ports of POS computer through an RS232 to USB adapter, then please install the adaptor driver as needed. © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 18 6. Cashier Station & POS program configuration: Open the configuration file: C:\Pos\DataBasePassword.ini with Notepad or any text editor for edition: © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 19 Checking comport assignment: Go to Windows [Start] -> Right click on [Computer] -> then select [Manage] -> [Device Manager] -> Expand [Ports (COM & LPT)]: Modify comport number: Refer to the comport assignment information listed in device manager, and edit comport number in the following items in the DataBasePassword.ini file accordingly: [CardReaderModel] = 22, 0 (PCR310=22, Comport No.) For the configuration above, the comport no. for card reader (PCR310) is “3” (Prolific USB-to Serial Comm Port). Please input [CardReaderModel] = 22, 3 [VFDModel] = 4, 0 (WD203=4, Comport No.) For the configuration above, the comport no. for VFD (WD203) is “4” (Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge). Please input [VFDModel] = 4, 4 [RFIDPort] = 22, 0 (DF750=22, Comport No.; Note: Modify this item only when wall-mount season card reader is connected and input the corresponding comport no.) Modify other variables: Double check the following variables before save the leave DataBasePassword.ini edition: [ClientID] = &H08010700 (To identify different POS; By default the first POS will be &H08010700, and the second POS would be &H08020700, and it needs to match [Communication ID] in device information configured in IPMS2000 server program; Example: [ClientID] =&H “Communication ID”. [LostCardMoney] = Material cost of a card ticket (not include parking fee) to charge © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 20 customer when making a new hourly or season card. [LostPayAmount] = The pre-configured total amount to charge a lost card ticket; the [Lost Ticket Fee] button in “Lost Ticket” section of POS program. [IO_TYPE] = 0 (IO signal type to open cash drawer; 0 = using IO interface box [default], 1 = using USB interface) [Session] = 1 (Parking area where this POS located) [Global] = 1 (0 = limited parking area for both hourly & season parking, 1= No parking area limitation for all parking, 2= No parking area limitation for season parking, 3= No parking area limitation for hourly parking.) © 2001 - 2012 Parktron Technology Ltd. 21
