iROBOT HOME ROBOTS
ARE REVOLUTIONIZING
THE WAY PEOPLE CLEAN
3 major product categories
dominate the market:
»» vacuum-cleaning robots, with the famous ROOMBA
»» floor washing robots with the SCOOBA
»» floor mopping robots, with the BRAAVA,
the latest addition to the range
distributed by
»» ROBOPOLIS, the exclusive distributor of iRobot products in the main
European territories, is proud that its American partner has the widest
range of products on the market, covering all consumer domestic robotics
needs. Regardless of the chore to be done, the robots designed by iRobot are
practical, efficient and easy to use.
iRobot was created (1990) because its founders
were convinced it was possible to invent robots with
practical applications capable of changing the world.
The company’s first steps were with a commercial
project for space exploration carried out by Robots.
Nonetheless, at the same time the company was
working on enabling robotics to penetrate people’s
daily lives, and on making the use of robotics in the
domestic univers. The legitimate inventors of the home
robots category, today iRobot enables millions of
consumers to free themselves up from tiresome daily
chores thanks to robots that are reliable, effective, and
give results, even when held to the most demanding
standards.
The result, 20 years later,
is that iRobot is the
uncontested leader in the
cleaning robot market:
»» 436 USD in sales in 2012
»» Including 90% in household robots
»» 10 million home robots sold worldwide
»» Products topping the charts in every country
iRobot has never ceased to meet the new and increasing
needs of people in terms of home upkeep, with
ongoing development of new solutions incorporating
high technology, ease of use, effectiveness, and
design. Domestic robot design is subject to the same
requirements for quality and excellence as for security
and military robots. The robots are pushed to their
limits during testing, in order to guarantee the task it
is programmed for will be executed. In addition to the
flagship Roomba, with its celebrated performance,
iRobot has also created Scooba, a floor-washing robot,
Braava, a floor mopping robot, and Looj, an guttercleaning robot… All of these robots have been designed
to meet consumer expectations and all perform a
specific task, making a real difference to the daily lives
of those who use them.
Regardless of the size of the home, the type of flooring to
vacuum or wash, there is an iRobot robot for each situation
that meets the user’s needs.
Regardless of the need, iRobot has the answer.
Roomba
The technology used in the Roomba, the pioneer in vacuum-cleaning
robots, has been perfected year after year since it was first launched
in 2002. It operates completely independently, automatically
cleaning entire floors efficiently. After 10 years, six generations and
10 million units sold worldwide, ROOMBA is the unchallenged leader
in vacuum-cleaning robotics.
Scooba
With a 4-step cleaning process, Scooba prepares, cleans, brushes,
and dries the floor, eliminating up to 98% of common household
bacteria.
Braava
It uses microfiber sweeping or mopping cloth to clean hard flooring
and automatically controls dirt and dust.
Looj
This new robot ejects soil while brushing gutters and adapting to
the type of clogging it encounters.
… And Mirra, the pool-cleaning robot, as well as all of the products from the Medical Aid
division, with, in particular, the AVA and RP-VITA remote presence robots.
