Salsa Cruise also always gives back to each destination visited through Whet Foundation’s program Destination
Donation. Everyone on the ship will be asked to bring school supplies, clothing and other items for the
orphanages. Then volunteers will be asked to help stuff the backpacks to deliver to the kids and play with them.
Many of the volunteers rate their Whet Foundation experience as the highlight of their cruise.

Myrna Franceschis started her career as a travel agent when she retired from the NYPD. Heavily
involved in thier fundraising, she realized her passion for leading large groups for special events.
She then decided to create a partnership with Monteli Travel to become the pioneer in Salsa
Cruises of the Caribbean and other tropical destinations. After some very successful outings, she
decided to focus strictly on Cruises that were out of the ordinary, something “out of the box” for
passengers like cruising with music they love and listen to, while experiencing the latin music and
radio stars up close and personally. Myrna’s passion of Latin music created the drive for this type
of cruising, it was then she launched SalsaCruise.com and ran with it. The track record speaks for
itself, a Solid 15+ years of accomplishment.
