Fox Theatre - St. Louis
Theater tour, lunch and show

Today we will enjoy a special treat. In addition to seeing the popular hit show “The
Bridges of Madison County” we will also
enjoy a tour of this magnificent theater, with
an included lunch, prior to this Tony Award
winning Broadway musical. The show, based upon the
best-selling novel, is one of the most romantic stories ever
written.
Mystery Trip with Linda Koenig

Today we will visit places never offered by Linda in previous
BOS trips. First we will visit (place) and enjoy a very interesting

The beautiful Victorian Ballroom at the
Jacob Henry Mansion Estate will be transformed into “The Limestone Lounge”, a
1930’s Jazz Club where we will enjoy this glorious era with a
“live radio broadcast show”, complete with an orchestra,
vocalists and radio actors. A fabulous lunch, with all of the
trimmings, is included.
Kimmswick and the Blue Owl

Once again we will travel with Linda Koenig as
we visit Kimmswick, Missouri and enjoy a
great lunch at the famous Blue Owl Restaurant
(think mile-high apple pie!). While in Kimmswick we will also have time to explore this
historic and quaint village on the Mississippi.
Also included will be stops at the nearby
Anheuser Mansion, the fully restored former home of this
famous family, and a visit to Mastodon State Historic Site.
There we will view exhibits, which include artifacts dating back
12,000 years.

Shoes, Booze, and Baseball

Today we will learn about the shoe,
beer, and baseball history of St. Louis,
with Linda Koenig as our leader. First
we will visit Anheuser-Busch to see the
famous Clydesdales in the 1889
immaculate stables. Then to Lafayette
Park, the site of the first baseball field in St. Louis, then the old
Sportsman’s Park field, home of the Cardinals and Browns,
and later tour “new” Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village and the
Cardinal Hall of Fame Museum. After an included lunch at
Lemp Mansion (Lemp Brewery was the largest brewery in St.
Louis, producing Falstaff), we will learn more about the shoe
industry, made famous by Brown Shoe Company’s Buster
Brown Shoes.

Chicago River & Lake Michigan cruise, Navy Pier,
and the Field Museum

Today we will enjoy several “windy city”
treats. We begin by taking a 90 minute
cruise, with narration, on the Chicago River,
